WOYWW 242 - challenge in progress

My workspace this week for WOYWW sees evidence of a challenge I'm entering at the Paperartsy blog and the actual post will appear either immediately below or above this one - depending on whether I get the post written and the pictures downloaded tonight (Tuesday night, at time of writing) or not!

No new stash to show you this week - there is a blog prize on it's way to me that hasn't arrived yet (some Kaisercraft papers) but they're not here so you can't see them!!

So, in an effort to keep this short and sweet, here's my "desk" for you!!

You'll have to check the next/last post for details and close-ups of the cards and do check the Paperartsy blog for the inspiration behind these cards, because Ellen, who is Guest Designing this week, is incredibly talented.

This is the point where I make the usual promises to visit as many of you as I can - sorry I didn't make it to many of you last week, the cold did indeed take hold and it was a stinker, from which I am just about recovered but still full of catarrh!   Anyhow, happy WOYWW to you all, see you very soon...

It's truly time for you to get better, Helen. I hope by next week you have your new paper and your cold is completely gone.

Until then, I have NO number yet, but you know where I live (grin).

Hello Helen!
WOW adore your cards. I went and read your description of them and got a good close up look too. That flower stamp is perfect for the background you created.

I agree with Elizabeth it is time you get well! So much really bad junk going around in my neck of California. Hospitals are full, some are dying of different strains of the flu. I try to stay home as much as possible, just to keep away form the public places. I had to go with DH this afternoon to the big box store, and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't jam packed as it usually is. Guess everyone is stating to think the same way.
Just wish I could keep grandies from going to school (worst place for catching any and everything)
Have a great week

Am so sosrry you've had the cold..and are now in the residue section - me too as you know and I can't remember the last time a cold laid me out so quickly or fully. We are again united..this time in snot! I love love the cards, will have to go visit the PA place (which is a place of danger). And also, although you are always kind in your praise and effusive with your good opinions, I just somehow was struck by your comment about Ellen...a recommendation from you is a powerful thing.

Oooh so pleased I could click the photo and see them a bit bigger. So so pretty. funny in the small shot my eyes read them as some sort of cartoony image and people not flowers. Dang I need new eyes....

:)

Happy WOYWW!

Dont you just hate colds that dont know when to quit? Good to see it hasnt dampened your enthusiasm for inks and stamps and that your floor is still being used to it's full potential. Have been away for a while and it's good to be back. Love, love the cards, colours are vibrant and cheery, just what I need as I just got soaked walking the dog.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so rotten at the moment, and I hope it soon clears up. I am suffering too, at the moment, but in my case it is hay fever due to the unseasonably warm weather allowing the tress to come into flower. Thank you for your visit and hope you have a great time with your winnings. xx Maggie #21

Hi H
I forgot to say earlier I hope you are feeling better soon. I can only blame it on lack of sleep :-(
There are some really nasty colds about this year I have had 2 but am tasking Vitamin c now and it seems to be keeping them at bay.
good luck with the challenge

It's horrid when you get a cold, even worse when it affects your sinuses.
Love the project you are entering, good luck with it! Now to have a look at the inspiration behind it.
