WOYWW 429 - a very small post show haul....

Hi deskers, welcome to another desk-fest.  Link your workspaces here and have fun!

So, as some of you saw (and were amazed!)  I didn't spend very much at all on Sunday at Stamperarma...but had a great time catching up with friends, which is more important.
as you can see, not very much at all.... the sd card for the camera is still there from last week, and there is also a couple of bits I picked up at The Works on Saturday, some silvery mesh, and some wooden fairies... cheap as chips, and an idea for them will come to me I am sure... (pics from Stamperama here if you want a look)

Elizabeth said I would need lots of space for my gelli prints (when I get my plate) - well we all know space doesn't exist here, so we'll see what happens with that!  I must admit that is the main reason I didn't get one when they first came out.

My nephew liked his birthday card I shared last week, (or possibly the contents of the little gift envelope I put inside!) so that's good.
I am hoping to get time to do a bit more to my fabric book this weekend, as we have a Bank Holiday here on Monday so have an extra day at the weekend.   However, the best laid plans and all that!

Think I got round all the desks (so wish I could comment on the google plus ones) and will try again this week.  Happy WOYWW!

Stamperama at Stevenage

Got home a little while ago from the Stamperama stamp show at Stevenage... Great to catch up with some friends, but the show wasn't as good  big as it's been in the past, and some companies were missing who should have been there....

Still good to see Paperartsy of course, where I started with a make and take using infusions and distress oxides..
taken by Racquel (standing)  and using her stamps for Paperartsy  - great to catch up with Miriam and Wendy who were both there, we grabbed the first make and take session. (tag in stash photo later on)

Lin and I stopped for an early cuppa and Lin had breakfast, couldn't believe how empty it was - this was about 10.30 ish, normally it's really busy first thing..
back to Paperartsy for some quality demos and chat, Leandra experimenting trying to seal the Oxides to make them permanent... sort of worked!  I'll leave it to her to share her secret some time!
Realised I hadn't taken many photos...so snapped a few quickly.... Lauren was also on the demo stand with Leandra, was great to catch up with Claire (red tshirt) Alison in her fab crochet top, and Miriam watching Leandra...
backs of people deliberately not turning round...great to also catch up with Jo V (with the ponytail)
and great to see Lucy too, even if only towards the end before I left
and a very small stash haul... although I have already got the Prima modelling paste, I was hoping to get the Golden one we'd used on the fabric workshop but Leandra had taken the Prima stuff instead and I didn't realise I had it already... some beads for the book and some lacy trims for the book...
No-one had a big gelli plate there so am about to go order one online!

Stamperama show, Stevenage - today

Hi all, just got home from Stevenage with some goodies (ahem!) from the show.

It was busy to start with but by 2ish had practically emptied... but we had a good time and met a few Twits (though not as many as sometimes sadly)  I didn't take as many photos as usual, either..
an early cuppa and sit down.. Karen, Jo, Lewis (Caz's son) (man in purple no idea!) Miriam, Caz and Lin
bit later we had another sit down.. only there weren't enough chairs so I took up my normal crafting position..

you get a different view down here!
but then I got a chair!
Paperartsy was busy all day... no pics of the stand as there are new releases for the trade show next week, that we can't share with you yet..
 Lin, rocking the short hair!
 stash (1)
stash (2)

there is another one but I can't show that!

There were only 20 stalls there today, lots fewer than normal, and like I say by about 2 it had got quite empty (which did mean you could get in to look at the stock nicely!)

Looking forward to playing with some of this soon, but probably not today!

WOYWW 352 - I promised you new stuff!

Hello and welcome to March and another WOYWW  - Queen Julia has the info/link up here

Sunday saw me heading to Stevenage for Stamperama - one of the nicest shows (although, not quite as good as it used to be, like so many seem to be these days)... BUT, Paperartsy were there...

you may have seen the previous post from Sunday itself but never fear, I will share the stash again!

quite a small bag (size wise) - and only one bag!
but what a lot was packed into it...
(the previous post has close ups and some pictures of the show itself)
and I've started playing with the stuff already - the tag is using the Paperartsy Infusions and one of the new Hot Pick stamps, christened by Leandra as "Shrek Girl"

A big thanks goes to WOYWW Caz who came along (great to meet you) and gifted me some EZ mount as no-one at the show had any for sale, following a FB conversation afterwards... now I just need to mount up the stamps (3 A6 Paparertsy plates) Thanks again, Caz.

Stamperama - my first show visit of the year!

Hi all, just got back from a great day at Stevenage for the Stamperama show - got sidetracked so not many pictures, but there was a great crowd of the 'PAtwits' there... great to see Leandra Mark Lin and Emma and Hugo, from Paperartsy, and Lin, Chris, Lin, Alison, Julie Ann, Miriam, Caz N, Wendy, Sarah, Gabrielle, Freya, Kirsten, Lisa, sure I've forgotten someone, I am so sorry if that's the case...

Emma running the make and takes - colour swatches for the new Paperartsy Infusions, gorgeous little pots of pigment dye crystals that are water reactive - 12 fabulous colours.  at the table top right, Miriam, Wendy (former Stamp Attic Wendy) - was so great to meet her finally!
bottom row, left corner is Caz Newton. don't know the others..

Lin and Lin! the first of many caught unaware expressions... sorry, Lin S!
then Chris and Lin had a go at the Infusions...
lunchtime... sorry Miriam!  and I've cut Jo off too... oops, didn't do well today!

forgot this one of Lin's demos with the new Infusions... nice!!

stash pics... non Paperartsy stuff first... hardly anything caught my eye apart from some stencils, cos I don't have many......ahem
and a reduced Stampendous grungy stamp set. little bundle of flowery ribbon and the white pen seems to have disappeared... some copper wire.
first Paperartsy pic... just a few... some of the older C6 ink and the dog type plates (just need some EZ mount now... no-one had any) and one or two new Hot Picks..
and a couple more... and some of the Infusions.. and a new colour chart.

Will try and take these in better light later but I know you lot are keen to see them as soon as possible!

Stamperama stamp show - today!

This has long been one of my favourite shows, small, but perfectly formed... Today, it was made more special by Sam and Emma making a long journey "down south" to attend.. hope they thought it was worth it.
We all spent a lot of time at the Paperartsy stand, as always...here's the story of the day (oh, and some shopping!)
 someof Lin's gorgeous samples!
Leandra in full flow - she did stop talking long enough to produce some gorgeous samples too!

Leandra's workstation, her fab journal that she's featured on her blog and in videos, at the front.

 some more of Lin's samples
Lin, Emma, Sam (and Alison, bottom right with her back to me)
 one of Leandra's tags
and the start of another... love all this purple, Leandra!!

I challenged Leandra to use the JoFY set (at front, with the caterpillar) as I'd just bought it, and wanted some ideas...

some (long) time later, this was the gorgeous result, which I was able to bring home with me!
time for tea and cake,. I seem to have only got half of Sam, oops!  Jo, and Alison.
at, this one's better! left side, Sam, Jo,Alison,  right side, Debs,Emma,Lin.
and my goodies... nearly all from Paperartsy, just one stencil elsewhere... there wasn't a lot else I wanted apart from what Leandra and Mark had; lol!
this pic was a bit rushed, as I'm tired now, hope you can make out enough of what I got!

It's not all about the shopping...

Today was a wonderful day - the Stamperama show in Stevenage.  Set off early to meet Lin and join up with a group of lovely friends - hope I don't miss anyone out - it was wonderful to see you all again! Lin, Kirsten, Jo M, Jo V, Gabrielle,Freya, Julie Ann, Alison, Margaret, Debs, Karen, Sarah, Cazz, and the Paperartsy team of Leandra, Lin, Mark and Millie. I really hope I haven't forgotten anyone! oh no, Lesley, and I checked mentally too, so sorry!!  Rachel and her Mum also popped in briefly...
Sam left me strict instructions to take lots of photos so don't blame me!!   You can click on any of them to enlarge them (if you really want to!!)
We could have had a comedy moment, as I so nearly wore the same jumper that Lin did today!!
(edit-LtoR Lin, Julie Ann, Freya, Gabrielle, Jo Myhill)
Gabrielle, Freya, Kirsten,Debs, Lin, Margaret

and me ithe middle

Jo got to demo again this afternoon whilst Leandra took a break - rocking the purples and pinks (yes, Jo, using pink!)
Lin and Lesley debating something so earnestly - stencil brushes, I think

Some of Lin's wonderful artwork on show..
and working her fab new birds!
 Gorgeous crackle by Jo
and I love the Darcy flowers, embossed and then painted and glossy accented (which as you can see here is still wet!)
 one of Leandra's great tags.
and I am sure you can tell, this was one of Lin's!

so, on to the shopping. of which there is a little (technical term for ... quite a blooming lot really!)

 all together
 the stamps..
the rest of it!

so, ladies, thanks for some great fun today, let's do it again soon.
