I had some French Roast Fresco paint that needed saving on my craft mat yesterday so I swiped it onto a journal page...
When I got in from work today I decided to see what I could do with it... this is the result.
I had swiped the paint in a kind of diagonal direction, so continued with some more Frescos in the same manner, I used Irish Cream, Autumn Fire and Smoked Paprika.
Wasn't sure what to do next.... Took the Roman Letters stencil and some Grunge Paste - love this stuff, and it is fantastic through a finely detailed stencil like this one.... still not sure what to do, but it looked a bit like a wall made of terracotta or something...
I then remembered some stamps I had of a group of clay pots (Stamp-it Australia) , and some ruined Roman pillars (an Aspects of Design stamp from A Stamp Man) The pots were stamped straight onto the journal, and the Roman pillars onto some Kraft card, and torn to fit the page (and ruins look)
I added some random Grunge Paste to look like crumbling plaster, and there you go.

WOW I love this - the background looks fabulous and really fits in with your roman ruins theme.
Fantastic page yet again.

This is beautiful, to think it was created from left over paint.

Your "swiping" is so effective Helen, had a real feel of Roma to it and the sights as you walk up to Il Colosseo.

This came through on Bloglovin' and I had to come and see it close up. Helen, this is absolutely fantastic! Gosh, I love it so much. It looks like something you would see on the cover of Somerset Studio.
A brilliant piece of artwork.

Wow - absolutely love this, Helen! The Fresco paints used to make something that looks like an ancient fresco - what could be better?! Fabulous stamps too...
