Final piece inspired by Michelle

Yesterday was Michelle's final project for Paperartsy - and what a cracker! I loved it and today had to have a go... (if you haven't seen her version, which is fantastic - do follow the link and have a look)

Michelle stamped onto strips of masking tape placed on her craft mat, in coloured archival inks. Like I have here ...

Before placing some of them into a journal - I used my Dylusions journal - this is the first time I've used anything other than Dylusion sprays in it!!!
Like Michelle, I did stamping, stencilling and painting  All these stamps here are by Paperartsy.
and then created some white space to enable the text stamps (Sara Naumann for Paperartsy) - to stand out - i.e. I painted some white paint over the background.

The next step is to apply some texture - this is the swirly stencil from crafters workshop - Michelle used moulding paste coloured with distress markers, but I don't have those, so I used Paperartsy's Grunge Paste which is acrylic based texture paste and you can mix it with paint - I have used Claret here, to get this pink - and applied it already coloured, through the stencil, then, like Michelle I did them swipe over the top with white Fresco paint on some cut and dry foam.

Finally, the flowers at the bottom of the page - I used a stamp by Rubber Stampede (Solidago) as I don't (yet) have any suitable Paperartsy mini's.... Like Michelle, I stamped first in pink/green and then overstamped just the flower in black (I missed out Michelle's peach stazon step as I decided this was enough for me, and don't have many coloured stazon inks...)

I had quite a lot of strips of stamped on masking tape, so I worked in my small journal too, at the same time -

These are the two journals together - it is obviously better on the larger scale, but it does work in a small journal too.

Michelle, thank you for three months of fantastic projects, I have attempted lots of new things as a result.  Hope to see you on Saturday week at Ally Pally - it will be lovely to meet you face to face instead of virtually!!!

Oh, and this is the result of me looking for a green ink pad for the leaves of the flowers !!!

Gorgeous page as always - sadly not going to Ally Pally - but wave to Carmen when you see her as I know she's going!
