Inspired by Tim

What an amazing WOYWW it was yesterday - thank you all for visiting and commenting. I did get round everyone in the end, apologies if I didn't leave you all a comment.

Now, I was surfing the net this morning at work (before working hours, I hasten to add!) and came across a video I haven't seen before on the Ranger website from the Maestro himself, Tim Holtz.

He used the blending tool and distress inks to make a blocked background on a tag, and I had to have a go straight away when I got in from work tonight.  I used the new colours of DI's and left just a couple of gaps for a bit of contrast.

It's a bit like using the Hero Art "shadow" stamps I got some years (!) ago - basically you just ink the blending tool foam and stamp it on the tag in a random pattern.

I stamped the sentiment (Tim's, of course) straight on the tag over the background, and the little boy (also by Tim for Stamper's Anonymous) on a scrap,  both in black arcival ink

I think I'll be using this background again!

Sorry it's a bit wonky, I didn't have time to scan it again, Liverpool are playing again tonight and I've got to get ready!!

Now, all together now - COME ON LIVERPOOL.....

See you soon.

Sorry, not interested in football, but I love the tag. He did something similar at Christmas with alcohol inks. The background is awesome.
