A Bird in the Hand

I had this chip circle already "prepped" before Ally Pally - black acrylic paint,terra paste which I'd stamped into and coloured gold with (I think) butterscotch adirondack dabber paint and a light covering of gold (viva prescious metal) and suddenly the mojo deserted me.

However, at Ally Pally I bought a superb Paperartsy plate Hot Picks 1, with these cute little birdies and wham! I knew what to do to finish it.

I put a light,irregular covering of scattered straw distress ink on a piece of white card and stampted the "love birds" stamp on it and cut it out.  I coloured the birds in toning colours for the chip, and stamped the other two birds from the set, cutting them out and also colouring in matching colours.
