WOYWW 615

What?  Wednesday, already?    So, desk sharing day again then... WOYWW.

I kept on scribbling more circles to my page from last week - I wished I hadn't added the black ones, so I tried to go over them in blue...
I really like this background, so much that I don't want to cover it up!

the facing page is finished though

and I added some more layers to a previous double page spread too!

Looking forward to visiting your desks later and seeing what you've been up to

For those of you who'll be attending - virtually - Shaz's funeral on Friday - I'll "see" you there!!  It will be very sad, but from what Doug has shared about the plans for it, it sounds very Shaz and just perfect.

Take care all.

I am gutted I can't make the funeral Helen - not even virtually. I like the latest pages - the black circles don't look that bad. Stay safe. Sarah #?

Loving all your circles and can understand about not covering it up though, maybe just a sentiment. Love the layers on the pink/blue page too.
I've not bought any craft stuff much in YEARS now, not enabled enough yet - LOL which is one reason for my compact area. Although I did move some stuff to shelves on the other side of my bedroom which come out whilst I craft, so my bed gets covered but obviously have to put it all away to sleep LOL. Thanks for the visit BJ#9

Helen, I've just added a PS to my page and wondered if you knew as your photos go really big when clicked on...

PS Does anyone know how to make your photos really big when clicked on, not just a little bigger like mine. It used to happen but not anymore and can't work it out???

Thanks BJ#9

Looking at all the lovely colour Helene and then saw your last para, tried to go to WOYWW to see if there was any more info but my computer thinks the blog is risky. Just worried who you mean as I only know one Shaz (in Oz) for many years and pray it's not her. I have I missed something?

I’ve had a zoom into your pages and they look great Helen. I had a proper look at Angela’s as well. You’re very clever you two with your techniques
Have a good week.

You know what Helen, if I was happy with a background page I had I would leave it. You seem to love doing your backgrounds so much why try to include something else on them. It's all about enjoyment and your backgrounds are lovely.

That is indeed a lovely background. I wouldn't want to cover it either so I'd put a very thin word strip on a small thing on the bottom corner. When I say thing, it's partly because I can't word today and also because I don't know if they have a name! An image that you cut out and stick on, perhaps from a stamp. Some sort of paper layer anyway! Sending hugs for Friday. Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8

The journal pages look brilliant, great techniques. They have sent my mum home this week and I'm going to be busy with her needs so can't really plan anything for Friday. Have a lovely day and happy woyww, Angela x18x

Your journal pages are great as they are (dark circles included). You could think of them as artistic expression and leave them at that, maybe?
Thinking of you all on Friday

Hi Helen, nice to see you working in your journal and enjoying it. There's no rule that we have to finish all pages, so you can keep it as it is and later on if/when you feel like it, add some more to it. I have several spreads "stuck" in that stage - I may complete them or may not - I love that there are no rules - total freedom! Have a lovely week! xx zsuzsa #21

I like those pages as they are myself! The flourishes are fun aren’t they? As long as though you’ve been having a good time that’s the main thing!

Fabulous pages Helen, I wrote the quote down too :) black is such a contrast isn’t it, but I think you have softened it by going over it with blue.
I have been having fun doing some small collages today. Have a great week Angela #17

Lovely layers upon layers, Helen - and I always like designs which incorporate circles. Gorgeous colours as always.

Thank you for your visit - funnily enough, while I am now keen to finish the cat throw, I have enjoyed doing it so much - it's proving to be such a fun project, that I shall be quite sad when it's finished! I love lengthy projects that you can really get your teeth into - so rewarding. When they are done, you feel a bit bereaved and wonder what to fill your time with next - a bit like finishing a really long and enjoyable book. For me it's definitely 75/25 about the process/the finishing. It's also very relaxing doing the crochet in the comfort of the sitting room with the TV on and my hubby oblivious to what I'm making!

The banana ice cream really is super-delicious and also very healthy. The only disadvantage is that you can't make it in advance and store it, or it goes like a rock.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Helen, I like your page, the black circles are fine. I say embrace them 😊 The other pages are lovely too. Sadly, I won't be there on Friday for the funeral but I'll be thinking of Shaz and Doug then. Have a good week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #24

Hi Helen, love your journal pages and totally relate to reluctance to cover up the bits you love, I always find that difficult. But then I also love how you can keep coming back and addign more layers until you're happy - I say if you don't want to cover it up, leave it for now and either enjoy it as is or wait until later when it will call to you as the perfect background for something you haven't even thought of yet ... "See" you on Friday. Annie C #25

Far to many school related meetings for DD and her adult services placement this week. Bad timing for sure, Lots of scheduled posts and no time for visits. Bah! Love the pages, and the extra layers. Fab colours! Hope the service went well and I hope to hear about it on WOYWW at some point. Off to peek at Julia's now to see....

Crazy week, so late..

Oh wow your pages have really been zooming a long, haven't they! So colourful! I didn't get around to linking up or even thinking to, as hubby was suddenly in hospital and it was totslly werid, he's got another check up due soon and since he's back we've been walking everywhere, it's taken me all week just to colour in one gnome! Stay Safe! Keep crafting. Happy WOYWW ((Lyn)) #19
