WOYWW 614

Hey guys it's time for WOYWW again already!  This week really has flown!

I haven't got anything much crafty done, but have booked my vaccine, yay for Saturday week!  I managed to book it for a centre in Croydon which is only about 15 minutes on the train, much better than halfway across London!

I stamped out a load of images on some copy paper

I cut a few out but decided I'd leave most of them in strips for when I need them

I did have a little play with my scribble sticks in my small A5 journal that I've been neglecting since I got into my "Dina" habit lol

I drew a page full of circles and will add a focal point at some stage one I've decided what to use!!

I probably won't get time to visit at lunchtime this week as I've got a training session during the morning and will be playing catch up so see you later!!

SO glad to read you will soon get your vaccinations. Close to home is far better than going into London.

That's a lot of fussy cutting, Helen. I admire you for that. Not playing this week, but for the first time in nearly three weeks, I feel well enough to stop by and say hello.

I find fussy cutting relaxing, and good thing too as I have that stamp set arriving today! Good luck with the vaccine. Roll on a WOYWW crop!

Loving the circle page - such nice colours - have you decided what else is going on it?
I think you have gone down the right route with cutting out in strips rather than each one individually, I have done both and know which worked best for me.
Hope the vaccine goes well and you react like I did - nothing, not even a sore arm.
Hugs, Neet 4 xx

Morning Helen, you've given me a hankering to play with some art crayons - it's been a while but my dabbling is very miniature! I'd love to embrace the big whole page like your lovely bubbles. As always, stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8

Hurrah, an appointment, a jab, a shorter journey. All good, makes me happy! My remark will be the same as Elizabeth’s...OOh lots of fussy cutting. But then, I find that if I want it for something, it doesn’t seem too much of a chore, so assuming you don’t put that pile of stamping in a ‘special’ place, they’ll come in handy. I like the circles page already...had to look again when you said you drew them. Crikey, it’s been a long time since I was able to draw a convincing circle like that ⭕️ , mine end up oval-y or just over drawn messy!

Good to hear you are booked for a jab. Love the idea of cutting the stamped leaves into strips. Who has time for all that cutting. Have a great week,

Wishing you well with your vaccine. We are moving forward now aren’t we.
Isn’t the anticipation of where to go next with your page exciting. I find it absorbing when I’m wondering where to go next with a project
Looking forward to seeing what happens next

Pleased you've managed to book the Vaccine but it doesn't sound as though they are making it very easy for people to attend most of our places are fairly local. Your crafty stuff looks interesting and I'm sure you have a plan for it's future. Take care and happy woyww, Angela x19x

That's good news about the vaccine Helen, i'm not sure what happened to that within 10 mile radius carrot that was dangled in January, my MIL was the same in her 80's given a venue half way across Brum we did manage to get somewhere closer for her eventually. You'll have a burst of creativity after and give all those WIP's more love and attention. I love fussy cutting..
Happy WoywW Hugs Tracey xx

Woohoo for the jab appt! Hope all goes well xx. Blimey, you are patient cutting those leaves out, they’re not the easiest, they do look great though so it’s worth it. I’m with Julia on your perfect circles, well done!

Hi Helen, good news re the jab. Great not too far to travel. Love the circles. Have been seeing cards with circles and drawn to them for some reason. Take care. Anne x 22

Those word stamps look a lot like Marianne's magnetic poetry stamps I've just seen! It's a good idea to keep them in strips, otherwise they would just go missing or crumpled if you cut them all up. My hub's getting his jab on Saturday - I'm still waiting for my invitation - I'm be in the next age group, I expect. Good luck with yours! xx zsuzsa #24

Good idea to leave them in strips....if I cut them up too small I would lose them before I needed them lol. Good news with the vaccine...hope yours is as uneventful as mine.

Love your play journal. I’d leave your images in strips too, very difficult to store and manage them small
Take care and happy WOYWW

Good morning, Helen!
good luck with the vaccine. a 15 minute train ride sounds more relaxing then a trip 'cross London. Though I really would love to visit London. You've been creative. Love the idea of stamping an entire sheet then cutting as needed. I never think of those things! That's why I follow you ladies around. NO worries about whether or not you visit. Life is busy for all of us. Creative Blessings! Kelly #32

Good luck with the jab - we were all fine after ours. Like you, I am desperate to get my hair cut. I had to have a passport style photo for my renewal of driving licence and I look a total miserable wreck! I would post it on my blog but don't want to scare people- lol. xx Jo

Helen, I like that you pre plan and have things on hand now when you need it! I need to do the same, but alas, I'm a chronic procrastinator! LOLOL I love your journal page, lots of yummy color making for a great background! Have a great day Helen and stay safe and healthy! Felicia #31

oh Yay for having an appointment closer to home Helen. I love the idea of stamping on printer paper for layering (that is really smart) I guess you can tell I do not do much of that art journaling as I'd probably have done it all on heavy cardstock. and maybe that is a break-through moment, that skinny layers may appeal to me more. hmm Thanks for that spark, ~Stacy #33

Such a good idea to print out all those images ready for future use, Helen, and probably very wise to leave them in strips. I've got a whole lot of printed sentiments that I made a few weeks ago, tucked into my Zentangle book for safe keeping and the other day they all fell out all over the floor! Better if they were still in a strip, I think. A lovely circles page too with great colours.

Thank you for your visit and your lovely comment - I'm afraid I am a bit of a kitchen machine junkie but believe me they all get used! The old blender is finally working again once the wretched company agreed to send me a new jug (well worth keeping on at them) and it's now living in a cupboard as a spare in case of emergencies. The Vitamix gets used every day at least once - I make up my special rehydration/electrolyte drink (important for people with an ileostomy) every day and it has to be blended because it contains dates for sweetness. I also made a blackberry fool in it today, and a smoothie bowl for my breakfast. The electric pressure cooker is fabulous for quick, no-soak cooking of beans and chickpeas and occasionally as a slow cooker. The soya milk maker makes... soya milk! Lol! The bread maker makes... bread! And of course the new juicer. They all need to be out standing in their ranks like little soldiers because they are all on duty! I'm so glad you are enjoying the progress of the cat blanket. Still quite a way to go but I'm really loving doing it - such a fun project.

Happy WOYWW,

Congrats on your appointment! You are so much ahead of us! We are still jabbing over 80's, and my mom (86) and step-dad (90) have not been jabbed yet. We must have a ton of over 80's here! Which I suppose means we live long lives here! They are getting the vaccines into some of the pharmacies in the next week or so, so that's an improvement, anyway. Have you though of stamping on sticker paper? Those strips especially would do great on sticker paper! Looking forward to seeing what you do with your journal page! Thanks for your visit, have a great week, Lindart #35

Haven't been on one in years, unless you cout a steam train! I think your vocal point on your rings paper should be a large cup of cappuccino! Stay safe, Keep crafting, Happy WOYWW?!((Lyn))#25

Good to do some stamping ready for when you need it, love the leaf stamp, would be good as a die - LOL.
Took Hubby to Coulsdon for his jab yesterday, he is having a rather bad reaction to it, knocked him for six from about 5 hours after it and the following 24 hours. He's been taking lots of pain meds but nothing stops him eating though - LOL. I'm still pondering it all as I can get nauseous even after a dental injection.
Thanks for the visit BJ#16

Hi Helen, thanks for visiting and your comment on my post. Like your stamping - it's a good idea to leave them on the page until you need them. Glad you've got your appointment for the vaccine - hope all goes well. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #30

Excellent news that your vaccine appt is closer (similar to me, rather than traipsing miles like some I mangaged to get it at my GPs a few weeks back, on a saturday too so didnt have to take time off work, brilliant service).

Great idea of stamping loads on copy paper in readiness for when you need it, sometimes makes life SO much easier.
thanks for visiting my desk already
