WOYWW 612

Welcome deskers, it's Wednesday again so time for WOYWW once more.  As always, sign up at Julia's Stamping-Ground

Not a lot to show this week,  have been very unproductive - one of those weekends when I couldn't get started on anything.

It was so heartwarming to read all of your comments and stories of Shaz and how much everyone loved her. I took on board the suggestion from Morti to use the quote Julia ended her tribute to Shaz, and did finish the page I showed you last week

I decorated the border with hearts (a Dina stamp) and wrote the quote on a scrap of white card in a silver paint pen (apt, I thought, for Shaz Silverwolf)
I added some dots of glitter to the middle points of the hearts, and a tear drop...

I tried to finish some of the other journal pages too, but as I said, my heart wasn't really in it.

I got this far with one though
It needs a big quote or some more stamping or stencilling or something.

maybe by next week's desk day I'll have succeeded

Take care, stay safe and happy WOYWW
- there is it seems, an end in sight to lockdown, albeit a slow one (very sensible!)  and I may even get a hair cut before summer!!

Hi Helen, that's a great way to finish your tribute page to Shaz, a great quote indeed and I really like how your other journal page is coming along. We all have days/weeks like this were nothing seems to come to page. Time never seems to be on my side & my head is bursting with ideas.
Here's to next week and hopefully lots of crafty play time. Hugs Tracey #4 xx
P.S My MIL has already prebooked her hair appointment, i'm glad I don't have that problem x

Your pages are wonderful! I think the handwritten card is such a nice touch for your tribute to Shaz!

Both pages are beautifully crafted! I am just starting my journey into Art Journaling! I hope I can get better!

Be well,

Such a fantastic finished tribute page for Shaz Helen. Love the start you have made on the next one too. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #11

A lovely way to end your page - an everlasting memory in your journal.
I was wondering what your hair was like now with not having been able to go to the hairdressers. I look like the Wicked Witch from the North with my long tresses - but probably a bit more like Hagrid at the moment as I have just got up. Roll on hair cut time.

Love the finished pages and maybe now you will feel a bit more like moving on to the next thing. I often have days like that where I can't get myself in the mood to make stuff and it's usually because I have something half finished if I can complete it somehow it just helps. Have a fun woyww and hugs, Angela x19x

Morning Helen. That page is a beautiful tribute - well done! I'm joining the community of non-haircuts too! not been to a hairdresser since February last year! My hair - normally as short as yours is now below shoulder level - I could put it up in a ponytail - if I had the right things to put it in!!! Gave those bits away years ago. I'm sure you will get around to crafting again soon - take heart.
Take care. God bless.

That's so lovely, Helen. Love the silver reference. Shaz will most certainly not be forgotten and we'll keep bumping into her comments on our old posts and through Gooogle, etc. Don't worry about not feeling the creative spark - it always comes back - with a vengeance in my experience! Have a good week! xx zsuzsa #27

Oh Helen, your tribute to Shaz is amazing so apt on so many fronts. The quote the colour pen, the tear drop the hearts. Love it. I'm sure your heart will come back to things soon and dance when you remember all that Shaz was and is and will be for ever in our hearts.
Happy WOYWW and thanks for the visit BJ#1

Your tribute to Shaz is wonderful, Helen. It is so appropriate as well as being really beautiful and touching. How honoured she would be, to see it. Your other page is coming along splendidly, and once your mojo returns, I know it will be beautiful too. I think we've all been knocked sideways by the news.

Thank you for visiting, and for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed my post this week - and no, I tend not to give up on things because today it seems to be the fashion for people not to take responsibility for things and I always want to hold their feet to the fire! (Metaphorically speaking, of course!) Today I started a batch of yoghurt from some of the soya milk my hubby bought me by mistake, and it will be interesting to see if it turns out any differently from the yoghurt I make from my home-made soya milk, which has quite a strong beany taste. Lily the minx is asleep on my legs as I type this - no secretarial duties today!

I'm hoping to make a start on the tributes storage soon. I shall probably use my desktop publisher, which makes moving photos and text around so much easier. I may incorporate some of the pictures from her blog as well, and some of her funnies. We shall see.

Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi x #15

well dang girl, you had me teary again. love the page :) I have not had my hair cut or colored in so long its really an interesting thing when people ask you where you got the blonde streaks from . ( mines almost all grey now) So, I figure there is more funds for happy mail if I am not tossing it on color for the hair lol. ~Stacy #34

You have left a wonderful spot for a quote on your page! I'm sure the perfect one will find it's way to you1 I haven't felt much lately of doing anything as well, but I always feel better when I push myself! Have a great week, thanks for your visit! Lindart #36

Amazing isn’t it, an end in sight to this HUGE global problem and we’re all considering how long a queue there will be for a hairdresser! a I was at Mum’s car home early Wednesday morning and the chat was the same there too, hair and in some cases nails, are definitely the priority on release! Meanwhile, love your tribute page for Shaz, it’s perfect. Not surprised that you heart didn’t feel in it, sometimes you just need to take time to process.

Lovely pages, both of them, and a fitting tribute to our lovely Shaz. You did make me laugh at your comment on one of the crop photos where you said how much you needed a haircut - wish I had snuck one in when we weren't locked down quite so fully. My cleaner used to do hairdressing so I did get her to hack off a bit before we locked down again, but nothing since then. I hope I can hold out till early April when shielding lifts for me! Hang in there - maybe dreadlocks are an option? LOL!

Oh no! I'm late for WOYWW!

Oh the finished journal page for your friend is beautiful and the quote simply perfect.

I hope you are having a good week and possibly more productive weekend.

I'm nearing the end of the photos I have to scrap up to Halloween, then I need to get some more printed but then what?

I'm hoping we can resume some normality soon

biggest hugs
