WOYWW 610

Welcome to another Wednesday, another WOYWW .  We are a close knit group and some of you  have seen Doug's latest update on Facebook about poor Shaz's deterioration.  Our hearts go out to them and I know we all wish them the very best and for Shaz to pull through.  The worst thing to read is that Doug can't be with her in hospital due to this blasted Covid.....  (edit.  They've let Doug in to see her.  I should think so too....)

But, it's Wednesday, so it is time to share our desks.

the goodies I was waiting for last week duly arrived,  mostly Paperartsy stuff this time!

but at the weekend I had to play in the new (tome) Dina
journal

Kraft page - drips of gloss spray paint - white, and marine - they mix to make the most beautiful teal colour..

and the new funny peeps stamps...

(those were stamped using scribble sticks, you wet the stamp and then scribble the colour on)  gorgeous water colour effect...
then I finished (possibly) off a page I'd started with some mop up,  on the heavy cotton  paper in the blue journal
and another denim page in the blue journal, paints stencilled and the tag is gloss spray overstamped in archival ink

I put in another order from Art From the Heart too......
look out next week for that I hope.

I don't really feel like writing more today,  so I'll leave you and come visit when I can .

Still tempted by the peeps. Great pages, as ever. I love that white and blue mix. As Bob Ross would say, “happy accidents!”
And Happy Woyww!

Thank goodness they have let Doug in to be with Shaz. I had an order from Art from the heart this week - the new Kitsch Flamingo supplies - not had a play yet though. Stay safe Sarah #5

Perfect excuse to get inky Helen and I rather like the look of that leaf stencil. I'll not mention the 'f' word.

Nothing like a bit of shopping and inking to cheer one up. VERY sorry indeed re updates as didn’t know dear Shaz back in hospital.
Sad indeed, thanks for popping over Helen.
And I’m after one of those Clair inks in Twilight but yet to find it under $20 including post so I wait on. It’s a very deep navy and partial to that colour. Though just now had a thought could possibly stamp in black then over stamp in my medium blue perhaps?
Love Versafine.
Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

Hi Helen, pleased to see you getting going with the new journal. I have to say I bought a Versafine Clair in black and love it so much I have had to buy another because I used it so much. Have fun and hoping you have a happy woyww, Angela x18x

Hi Helen. I think we are all struggling this week. I’d just like to say how much I’m enjoying seeing what you do with your fabric pages.

Good morning Helen,
I like the faces and journal pages as a whole. I like combining fabrics and paper. Machine stitching them together is my favourite bit of creating.
Take good care of yourself. As you say we are close knit group and in these times it’s a good place to come to every week.

It’s hard to be positive today but I can hear Shaz saying she’d give us a kick up the bum if we stopped crafting - it’s in these times that our group proves its worth. Am thinking about our Enabler in Chief today.

Those fabric pages are so delicious and I do love that new leaf stencil particularly. I'm very drawn to leaves for some reason, purchasing not using... Definitely hugs all around today, Lisa-Jane #10

Totally get what you mean when you say you don't feel like writing more. I think we all feel the same way, even though the good lady herself would be telling us all to just get on with it.

Sending love and hugs your way x

Had to laugh about you going out with two hats. I went out with thick jumper, coat and scarf yesterday and it was supposed to be 14C. Glad to hear Doug has been allowed in to Shaz you need to be near your loved ones at a time like this. Ani #16

Lovely new goodies to play with Helen and I'm intrigued by the denim page! I do have a pair of old jeans saved for this purpose, though I was thinking of making a book cover, but yeah, it would be great for a journal page as well! It just like working on a canvas! Must dig out those jeans! Happy Wednesday! xx zsuzsa #25

Do you know I’ve felt the same today, and have done some consolation shopping, but then went back and cancelled the order because I didn’t really want it...I think it was just distraction. These gloss paints are cropping up in your art a lot, so I’m thinking you are enjoying them. Won’t it be lovely when you can bring your journal to a Crop and we can actually see the glossinessness.

Fabulous pages as always, Helen, and again, I do love these pages made of different materials - so unusual. It's devastating about poor Shaz, isn't it. The trouble is, I'm not on Facebook and feel really out of touch with news and don't know how I can access what Doug is posting. The last piece of news I got was his post on her blog on Sunday.

Thank you for your visit - so glad you are enjoying the progress of the kitty throw. Funny about our snow - by mid morning it had all gone! It's been a really cold day, though. We may get some more. I agree, ice on the pavements is extremely dangerous - take care!!

Happy WOYWW,

Your new stash looks grand Helen, especially like the look of the {A stamps with the larger words. Gosh it's been a hard week, lost a friend last Friday only 49 and reading how poorly Shaz is doesn't make the day any easier. TaKe care of yourself Helen, keep that crafty mojo alight Hugs Tracey xx

Update on here in Victoria – we are in a snap lockdown again – hopefully only for a few days – but 5k limit, no visitors or gatherings, only leave the house for the 4 special reasons, only essential shops open…

Wow - amazing pages - looks like you've been having loads of fun in your Dina journals. The cut out figures on the kraft page look great, and I really like the tag inclusion on the denim. I love the variation in the page materials... somehow it challenges and inspires at the same time.
