WOYWW 568

Another week in lockdown has flown - had the total of one hour out of the house (for food shopping) and hardly any time spent crafting.
It's time for another WOYWW though - the day of the week when it is time to share our crafty spaces..

I did get a quick journal page done though - background with Neocolour II crayons and sone stencilled leaves.

then I added a couple of images - the birds are by JoFY and the "monster" by Elena for Paperartsy
the text is a Dina Wakley stamp

one day last week whilst I was having my short lunch break I found the postman had been - a lovely card from our lovely Julia

It fair cheered me up!

and that's about it for me this week - some enabling has been done - I watched a Facebook Live on Saturday evening (or it may have been Sunday, who knows!)  and an order is being prepared... hopefully it wil be here for next week's desk sharing!

See you all soon - sending virtual hugs to you all and hope you are staying safe (and recovering to those who are poorly)

Virtual hugs back Helen. Visiting some desks early before I start on school work for the day. Hope your order isn't held up for too long. Things seem to be taking about a week to eight days at the moment. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #?

Morning Helen. I really like the sentiment and that page you have done. Most apt at this time. The birds are indeed singing!! Looking forward to seeing what you have spent your hard earned pennies on.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Happy WOYWW. I love those words on your journal page. I treated myself to some new digital scrapbooking/journaling stash yesterday after watching the Scrapbooking Live events, so will be getting some pages designed this week. I ordered one of those 'Artful subscription boxes', which should be arriving this week. Read mixed reviews, but had a discount code and thought it would be nice to have some new pens for my stash and a bit of inspiration. Ali x #1

We all seem to be hearing the birds, so as the others say, a really apt bit of journaling there. I remember the days when going food shopping was a chore. Now I quite look forward to my jaunt. I try to pick a warm day and appreciate the extra time spent in the queue! It’s somehow a help to see other people doing the same. Post is very sketchy here, am very grateful for any that gets through...currently ekeing out the ATG tape. I though it wasn’t a prob because let’s face it, any double sided tape will do....but I’m out of that too...all this extra crafting!! If it doesn’t come soon I may have to resort to cleaning!!!

I love your latest journal page, Helen, and what a brilliant sentiment. Definitely something to live by! Even though my life isn’t much different since the lockdown, this week it has felt different and somehow more precious. Perhaps it’s something to do with being able to sit out in the garden and have extended company from my hubby! I think I shall look back on this time as a special time, at least for us personally. I do seem to be achieving a bit more, for some reason! I am also eagerly anticipating the arrival of a parcel tomorrow, and had some nice new stash this week too (on my blog). I think a lot about you and Kew, and how poor old Kew must be pining for lack of you! What a wonderful time you will have when you can eventually go back! For now, it’s virtual travel for most of us. Yesterday my hubby found some absolutely fabulous YouTube videos filmed by a lady on her hay-making holiday in Romania - everything was very much as I remembered from my visit. I felt as if I’d been back to Transylvania again! We are watching more travel videos at the moment.

Have a great week and enjoy your parcel when it arrives. Happy WOYWW,

Definitely sending a virtual hug your way Helen. I'm glad it's not just me who isn't getting much done, I think the only conclusion I can come to is I am intrinsically lazy. I don't really even sleep or watch tv much so must just be daydreaming the whole time. I do hope you get your goodies soon - one of my easter cards sent around 10 days before easter arrived yesterday! Poor Royal Mail are inundated. I have been pretty good but feeling the urge of some purchasing of my own - maybe I will wait to see what you get!! Stay Safe, Stay well, Happy WOYWW Cindy #18

I really thought I would get a lot of crafty things finished during this time but I seem to be doing everything but play in the craft room. Glad you are well and able to get out for an hour if only to purchase food. That is how it is here as well.

Love the journal page - I haven't used my Neocolors for absolute ages - good reminder that I should get them out! We only went shopping once since the lockdown - it wasn't too bad but I didn't enjoy it much. I try not to be too paranoid but I don't always succeed. Running short on supplies now but keep putting it off! Make the most of the week! xx zsuzsa #20

Hi Helen, virtual hugs to you too. It's a strange time with this lockdown. I've always loved my own company, and being at home - but now when I don't have a choice and it's enforced, I'm not as keen. I've realised I miss working with people. Love the journal page, you always do such lovely pages! Have a lovely week and stay safe, Heather xx #28

Thanks for your return visit, Helen. I’m so sorry you haven’t got a suitable garden for sitting out in. The house we lived in when we were first married was like that - French windows that led nowhere, and a patio outside the kitchen that only got the sun at breakfast time!! At least you can call Kew “your” garden when you can get there! I am sure you will soon get back into condition once you can go regularly again. It’s amazing how quickly one can build up condition again. It surely can’t be long now till they let us all out again.

Your journal page is lovely! I love that quote too. Lucky you to get a card from Julia! I am trying very had not ti place any orders, as my income has been slashed almost in half, there is one stamp set I really want though, very expensive. I may have to wait quite awhile. I can, however, live vicariously through you, and I look forward to next week's reveal! Thanks for your visit to mine, stay well, stay busy, and stay safe! Lindart #34

Hi Helen,
Thank you for your visit and your kind words. Love the journal page and the sentiment. It made me think of a quote on a card my Dad made for me, that I keep on my shelf:
"The language of birds is very ancient, and, like other ancient modes of speech, very elliptical; little is said, but much is meant and understood" - Gilbert White
When I hear the blackbirds singing in my garden I always think about what is meant and understood!
Have a good week.

I see you are back to enabling and ordering. I save money because I don't shop online. I'm sure when I see what you purchased I will be envious (at least a tiny bit).

The youngsters called on my birthday and said to tell you how much they miss your Kew and photo blog. They seemed very interested in what you were doing, too. Glad you are safe and well.
