WOYWW 376

Hi, deskers, hope you're well... I am still enjoying an Olympics fest (lots of late nights and more catch ups on recorded highlights!) - go TeamGB!

Anyhow, you're here for a desk... probably expecting new toys.. but they're in the post (again!) so you'll have to wait (and it's the stamp show at Stevenage on Sunday so there'll be LOTS without what's due today or Thursday!  I'm meeting up with several crafty friends so apart from spending lots will be having a great time too
I'm not sure if I mentioned I was going to a wedding on Saturday (photos here if you like weddings!)   It was the middle of my late sister's sons, so a bitter-sweet day but on the whole, very happy, and as my write up of the day says, everyone loves a wedding!

so on Sunday morning my floor space looked like this, with bits and pieces from the wedding - invitation, menu, a lottery scratch card (one for every guest, sadly no-one on my table won) and a "photo booth" photo of me with my brother and his wife... that was fun!  the fork... well the evening food was fish and  chips in paper cones and bacon rolls (instead of the more traditional buffet) and the little silver (plastic) fork was too good to leave behind.. well let's face it, we all would, wouldn't we!!

but I have since cleared that away (will be scrapping it when some of the photos I've ordered arrived - yes I have actually got some printed!!)

and been working on a journal page with the new JoFY stamps that you saw last week..

the ones I am waiting for this week, are by Seth Apter, who's designed some for Paperartsy.. there are new paints being made too but they're not quite ready yet.

Check out the Paperartsy post from Saturday here if you missed it... can't wait to get hold of them! (and yes, I am going on the Seth Apter class that Paperartsy are organising.. there were still some places left last I heard (details in the same blog post)
So, that's me, another week, another splurge... hey ho, what can I say?!  Check into Julia's for the link to the desk hops here

I've been binging on Olympics too - standing up and shouting at the TV has become the norm. I can't believe we are second on the medals table! I loved reading about your nephew's wedding, you looked lovely - I'm so glad you enjoyed it all, your sister would have too :-)

Loving the photo booth - at first glance I thought it was an old photo with Tommy Cooper - but you are far too young. Have a great wedding x Jackie 18

Love the journal pages, those stamps are fabulous. I love the Seth Apter ones too, his stamps are so useful, I'm definitely tempted by those new ones! I hope yours arrive soon.
I just popped over and had a peep at the wedding photos - what a lovely day you all had, and one I'm sure your sister would have been proud of.
Hope you have a great week, I'm exhausted after all this Olympic medal-winning - it's the velodrome races that really get me on the edge of my seat!

Those are such fun colors into the book Helen, and I am impressed you ordered prints. I have been so bad about printing digital photos. I miss film. :)

Happy Belated WOYWW. I ran out of day yesterday, so here I am fairly early in the morning - catching up on the Olympics from last night and nosing around some blogs. I am waiting for my first package from the Stencil Club - so will be hanging around the front door for the postman later on! I am new to the delights of Seth - kept seeing his name mentioned in the mixed media stuff I was reading/watching, so Googled him and now following him on social media etc. His designs look like the sort of thing I like, so I am sure that I will be making a purchase soon. I am just distracted by your desk and all those yummy pots etc. Ali x #37

I predict you will have wonderful creative times when you start working on the wedding-pages/layouts! I, too, would have taken that fork with me, so cute! And oh, Seth Apter stamps... those are the best, you can use them over and over as the designs are multiple useable for all kinds of things... enjoy! Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. Happy, belated, woyww and a hug from Holland. Marit #22

It's good to catch up with you, Helen, both here and on your photography blog! It looks like the wedding was a blast and I love your journaling, as always! I want to thank you for following my blog. I've tried to follow you back, but Blogger won't let me. It's a known issue, apparently, although they are taking forever to fix it. I will come back and follow as soon as I can. I hope to see you again soon! Hugs, Darnell
