WOYWW 261 - year 6 starts here!

Hello happy deskers, and welcome back to the start of a new year - a new year of desk hopping linked together in friendship at Julia's The Stamping Ground
I tried to visit as many of you as I could last week - I did pretty well but did run out of time, so didn't quite get to everyone, I'm sorry!

Anyhow, you're here for a desk... (of sorts!)
I got down at floor level for this (not that's there's really space to do that) - one very full, finished journal - some new stamps and ink pad (plum archival as it can't really be seen from this angle!) a couple of pens (never have too many marker pens) and a finger print kit - from our very own Morti
(I won a Facebook giveaway of a silver fingerprint charm)

A closer look at the journal

I've also received some more ATCs in the swap since last week - top is from Annie, beautifully stitched, and complete with card and poem

below is Jo (Twiglet) also beautifully stitched,  in a cute little envelope
BJ (left) and Jackie Payne (right)

and Chris (Mrs D) - hope you've made it out of the floodwater now!
and I did get the finger print mould made - hope it's going to come out ok.  I'll get it posted back to Morti tomorrow! (Well today, really)
it took me longer to decide which shape charm I wanted, than to make the mould..!

Can't promise to get to you very early this week, there's a work "do" tomorrow night which will play havoc with my desk hopping! And on Sunday I am off to the Craft Barn "Extravaganza" - hope some of you may be there too, and that it stays fine and sunny!

More lovely ATCs coming from far and wide. Love them all. Seems we have the same friends (grin).

Your journal is gorgeous. I like that it doesn't lay flat and the pages turn all wonky when wet, then dried. Happy WOYWW, although I have no number yet.

Your journal looks lovely. I would love to sit and flip through it. I'm too intimidated...and too far behind on scrapbooking to try anything like that...but maybe one day. Thanks for letting us have a peek.

Was totally blown away by the journal you showed me at the crop and it is something I've always wanted to try but never quite had the courage to start. Then Di Wray posted a pic of a gift of a little journal she was given and I was inspired to get a small journal of my own and the moment it arrives I will attempt my first page!
I LoVe looking at my growing collection of ATC's and see something different in each one each time I look ... isn't it lovely having all these little pieces of art to share and enjoy!
Love Debbie xXx

Hi Helen

How lovely to see a full journal book - must be great to look back over everything you've created... How many of those do you have?

Some fabulous ATC's too - I was a little late coming back to expext any but at least I have one coming from the person who was above me on the linky list...

What a lovely and thoughtful gift that fingerprint charm would make someone - I bet my mum would love something like that - she loves her jewellery and we both prefer silver to gold..

Anyway - I've actually posted 2 weeks in a row. Didn't get round many desks last week as I started feeling a bit rough from Thursday evening onwards - that's putting it lightly!

Take care - lovely to be visiting your floor again :)

Hugs

Another one in awe of your journal - really I could have spent MORE time flipping thru it, absorbing every page, but I just had to pull myself away. I think I mist have missed anything about the fingerprint mold...I wonder what it's for? I shall browse back and see if I can find out.

Happy no-Linky WOYWW! (except I checked again and there it is!)

I will dig them out again eventually and have another go - just not for a while. I can't wait for my little journal to arrive so I can make a start ... still think of the journal you bought to the crop and your work has stayed with me! Love Debbie xxx
