My choice immediately leapt into mind - "Ain't no mountain high enough" by Diana Ross (among others) although I did check out a few quotes too, in case I could find something I liked more - who knows, I may do another one if time allows...
I gesso'd the page first, not something I usually do but wanted to give the ink a better key on the page.
I decided to use the bubbles stencil by Prima - I love this!! I started with Cornflower archival ink, randomly applied with a blending tool. For contrast, I went in with first Shaded Lilac and then Ripe Persimmon distress inks, adding some shading and layering of the colours.
To be honest, I was stuck for a while but then sifted through the Tim Holtz stamps - ah yes, that's the one! Stamped the hot air balloon on tissue paper and painted it with watered down Amethyst Fresco - partly because it's an opaque, and I didn't want to obliterate the stamping, partly to ease the painting process. Added a few touches of South Pacific (a translucent, but I added a touch of water as well, to blend it in nicely))
I stamped out the song title/lyric with an alphabet stamp and cobalt blue archival ink, taking care not to spell anything wrong!
Glued the balloon to the page with matte medium, and then added some mountains (Stampscapes) stamped twice on tissue paper in black archival. Added some Mowed Lawn distress ink with a blending tool, then gently wiped with a wet (damp) baby wipe to soften the colour - leaving the mountain tops pale/clear to give the idea of snowy peaks.
