Fresco Frenzy

I really enjoyed watching - and found so helpful Leandra's latest video showcasing Fresco opaque and translucent paints that I had to have (another) go...

I used the back of the frame I painted for one of the Linda Cain challenges earlier this week
This is how it ended up....

I used Very Berry and Vintage Lace to cover the base. Then I stamped the text from the Jo Firth-Young set, in Snowflake across the top half of the base.
Stamped the leaves in archival.

Added the flowers
and added some scribbled grass to fill the gaps along the base.  Then it was time to start colouring with various shades of paint - a lot - I used Beach Hut, Claret, Autumn Fire, Smoked Paprika, Zesty Zing, Limelight, Hey Pesto and Inky Pool... I think that's it..

It is very along the lines of Leandra's video but I had such fun I wanted to share it.

I can't wait to see who is the next Guest Designer (announced tomorrow!)

It's gorgeous, love the colours you used for the flowers, they look great against the pink background.

WOW Helen this is fantastic - great job. Love how you've used inspiration from the video to colours it up.

Sounds like you've had fun and used a fab selection of colours there.

Great video wasn't it.

Ohhh you won't need to scribble grass soon. I requested a grass clump from Jo. Love that u now have a double sided piece of art!

Like Julia says I never would have considered pink to be used in that way but it works really well. It's like a fairy glen. Beautiful.
