WOYWW 191

Please don't tell me it's the end of January already..... At least the snow has gone - it turned milder at the weekend, rained and - gone!  Thank goodness!  Hello and welcome to another Wednesday cyber travelling the desks of the world, thanks to Julia at the Stamping Ground

Today you find me in Paperartsy Fresco paint heaven (again!) with some new colours (new to me, though there are new colours in the works...)  They arrived on Tuesday, and luckily the postman left them with a neighbour, which is good as I get to share them with you today and try them out...

I had a play on Tuesday night with the Egg Plant (lush colour!) and you can see how it turned out in the previous post!!

The door hangers in the picture above are to use also with the Fresco paints - courtesy of some fab ideas by Leandra (Mrs Paperartsy) on her latest video - if you haven't seen it, check them out  on her you-tube channel  here - it is amazing!!

You'll likely be a while there, so you may want to finish the desks first..!!!  Hope to see you soon.

Happy WOYWW. Gorgeous colours. I have pulled out of the world of mixed media before I drowned in crafty stash (and debt!), but still love admiring other people's creating. Ali x #34

Love that colour- I'm a big purple fan, lol. Like you say, glad to see the back of that snow, it's nice when you can look out of the window & say 'how pretty'- novelty wears off pretty quick when you have to go out in it though! Have a great day, Hugs, Shaz xx #69

I love purple..in fact it's one of my all time favourite colours....so why don't I use it more often in my sewing? Itsnweird, you hardly ever see a really nice purple fabric (well, one I like anyway...!) I shall have to lobby some fabric manufacturers to redress the situation. To the t'internet, and don't spare the horses.....!!

Egg Plant is the prettiest purple. I always keep an ink pad of that color, it seems to be the only true purple out there. Door hangers are fun to make and I don't know why I don't make them more often......too many things to make on my bucket list LOL

I really am loving your Fresco phase vicariously! I haven't got any YET but i is only a matter of time....and until the time that I can, I have to stay away from the YouTube channel..I just know it'll set me off! Thank god the snow has gone..I'd rather think of you trudging home through wind and rain than experiencing the treacherous pavements..my word they were lethal!

Hi Helen, Over the past weeks I have seen so many ideas that have made me want to go beyond my little safe place. I have always liked the idea of painting things, seeing your ATC crackled metal has been one of my must try things. I have an old idea book that i will use to make my journal, It is going to be called.. INSPIRED BY each page will have the name of who has ispired me to.......... You are going to hit the first page. Helen Inspired me to play more with paint.....

Isn't it great to have some time to play with inks and other things. On the other hand, it is incredibly difficult to get the right result on a photo. Sparkles and shiny things just look flat. I am going to try a small video of some of these sorts of things to see if that is any more effective. By the way, my granddaughter wants all the tiny bits of card and paper to cut up to make mosaics. Thank you for your visit this week and have a good time. xx Maggie #11
