New stash - time to play!

I had a great day today at the Stamperama show in Stevenage - not such a lovely train journey there (unexpected engineering works en route caused a delay of about 40 minutes - luckily by the time I came home it was ok and I was home in 90 minutes - the trip there took 3 hours all told!)

Anyhow, once there I made a beeline for the Paperartsy stand where Lin and Leandra were doing a great double act of demoing fantastic Paperartsy products - thanks for the tags, ladies I love them!

So, here is my stash haul (twitters have already caught sight of this!)

Some of it was even on the list of things I wanted to buy!!!

And this is my first go at the "bumping" or shadowing technique that the ladies were demoing so beautifully....

I think actually I prefer the tag before I added the cut out flower - may try and unstick it and do something else....
However it was my first play - maybe I'll just make another one!

And these are the fab tags from Lin   .......

....and Leandra - this is a whopper tag!   Just love all that stencilling
I had arranged to meet a couple of twitter/blog friends at the show - the lovely Gabrielle (and her gorgeous daugher) and Jo Myhill who both produce fabulous art and seem to have the same taste in "must have" shopping as I do, lol!! It was really great to put faces to your names, girls!

Right, I think I need to put my feet up - it's Sunday night so it's nearly time for Call theMidwife! But the joy of playing in my living room (even on the floor) is I can watch at the same time.... hope I don't fall asleep.

Well, I don't think not counts if you bought stuff you were intending to, so the bits you found that weren't on the list are allowed! Sounds like a great day to me...I guess three hours ont he train is a semi-relaxing trade off!!!

You sound like a shopper after my own heart, I have been known to come home with a bagful of goodies and nothing of my list.
Love the tag - must find out more about shadowing and bumping as I got my gorgeous Portfolios last week.

I fell so much better now I have seen your stash Helen and know I am not alone it my indulgence.

Such a shame we missed one another, I did approach one lady who I was convinced was you judging my your photo, but like me she was also waiting for someone she had never met before.

As you say, better planning in future.

Is that a paint technique? It looks so 3D. Really gorgeous Helen :)

I can just imagine you with your shopping basket - out of all the people I met when I went with Devvie, you are the only one she remembers because you made her giggle saying you weren't going mad and then when she turned round you were throwing stuff in your basket :D :D
