So, today, Tim gave us a much simpler tag to create - fortunately! Whilst I didn't copy his method exactly I used similar stamps -
I don't have the cut'n'dry felt that Tim used to make his custom stamp, so instead I inked the pine cone stamp (it is one of Tim's) with clear distress embossing ink, then used a combination of brush markers and the pine needles distress ink on top, before embossing it with clear powder. I think it worked ok!
This one is a bit fuzzy, sorry! (or it could be because I'm not wearing my glasses!)
I probably shouldn't have used the flourish stamp as well as the music - the only music stamp I could find is this wavy one, I think there are too many wavy things going on!! It needs something straighter.... hey ho, hndsight!!
I don't have the cute little bird that Tim added, so used a snowflake, but did have the black glossy accents. I like that effect.
This is the view from my kitchen window this morning! (I live in a first floor maisonette) - pretty impressive icicles.
And this is from my bedroom window! These cars in the street haven't moved since it snowed on Monday, although I have seen one trying to get out earlier - he made it in the end!
Hope you are all keeping warm and safe - I haven't opened the front door, don't want the shock! I hope to be better to go to work tomorrow, I hate having time off sick (and feel guilty for making this tag today!) but we'll see - they say we'll have some more snow in Surrey today - had a few flakes earlier, but nothing significant. The pavements were so slippery last night on my way home, even in my wellingtons I slid a bit.

Thanks for linking again today :) lovely tag....I like the music bit too
Keep warm....I'm freezing in the office today! We had about a quarter inch of snow last night....nothing like the rest of the UK but can we cope? Can we heck!! LOL
xoxo Sioux
Hope you start to feel better soon! Don't feel guilty about taking time off, you would probably be snowed in anyway! I've made it in to the office but will be heading off home soon to avoid getting stranded!
Great tag Helen! Love that music stamp! xx
Ooo its lovely :D

Beautiful tag, and fabulous idea to use the distress emboss on the pinecone image!
Terrific tag Helen, love your creation. Annette x
Waiting for mine to dry.
Oops forgot to say I hope your cold is better soon. xx
Aww sending well wish hugs your way, another fab tag.. this is sooo much fun!
I never even knew there was such a thing as black Glossy Accents! Another fab tag - what do you do with these ones Helen - do they go in an album or do you bring them out each year as decorations?
I've got some icicles in my back yard - they are starting to sway a bit oninously so am keeping an eye on the dogs when they go out (that should read - when I throw them out - I can't blame them - it's almost as deep as they are tall!)
Hope you feel better soon - stay in the warm and make lovely art. Best medicine for you :)
oninously - ominously. Cold fingers!
I hope your feeling better soon! but what better way to start than to play with Tims tags, great tag and improvising!
Great tag, good improvisation, I'm struggling because haven't got all his stamps.
Gorgeous Tag, I'm loving playing along. Hope you feel better soon!

Oh no! not the dreaded bug, get well soon. I really like your tag. It's worked well. The ribbon is super and those black accents make all the difference. Sorry about all the snow too, we had some yesterday - about 53 flakes!! Lovely sunny blue skies for ages now.
Luv Joanne xx
fabuous tag! hope you feeling better soon
hugs x
Awww hope you feel better soon, great shot of the icicles, another stunning tag - I love the way you created your background , if its any consolation weather wise ,we have been snowed in for 3 days, no transport and all our roads are blocked, and there is no sign of a let up yet, stay warm and take care xxx
Love this one too and your creative way due to lack of the felt is a really great idea - must give that a go as I did something else which was a bit too complicated!
Hope you feel better soon.

Hope you feel better soon Helen, least you have stayed in doors that will help. Lovely tag and great take on Tim's tag too. Enjoy your evening, Tracy Evans x x
I love your tag Helen, it's part of the fun improvising isn't it lol. I hope you feel better soon (and don't walk under the icicle :o) ) x
Your tag looks great....I don't think it's too "busy" at all. Love the snow pictures, too. Feel better soon:)
You should not be out in this weather, especially if you have to walk in this mess. And, with a cold, you could get worse. Don't feel guilty, take time for YOU.
I don't believe I own something you don't!! I bought some of that foam two years ago and made a stamp pad for my Christmas cards last year. It's a cool technique and you get a TON of mileage from one inking.
Feel better soon.
Love the photos of snow and icicles. Hope you are feeling better and taking good care of yourself! Hugs.
If you are anything like me a day in bed won't solve the problem. Hope you are soon feeling much better.
Glad we haven't snow like you have - looks pretty but that is about it!
Great tag - must have a go myself.
Gorgeous tag Helen, and wow, those are amazing icicles. Hope your cold improves soon.

Love your colour combo on this tag, and that looks like great snowman making snow, we don't have enough here yet. Hope you start feeling better soon
