WOYW 673

Welcome to another week's WOYWW  -another week has flown by, and not a jot of crafting! Not for any particular reason, it just didn't happen!

I took some side on views of the boxes from last week; piles and piles of stuff everywhere !

and the other side of the room - more piles of stuff!

Saturday at Kew was gorgeous -  and I did more lying down photography on the dry grass!

Sorry I don't have anything more exciting to share this week - perhaps next time (new goodies on the way so there is every chance!)

WOYWW 672

I hope you all had a good Easter break - I got out for a couple of days out and now it's time for WOYWW again

Needless to say none of the re-organising got done!

whilst   I was sat catching up on some tv programmes I'd recorded I took a couple of photos around me...

the wooden Ikea boxes against the wall (they line the wall and go behind the big square boxes which hold my Paperartsy stamps)  hold most of my wooden stamps

you can see how small the area I have to work in is! the size of the craft mat...

I made another birthday card for a May birthday...
the background was done months ago for something else that didn't get used and I just added some die cut flowers

as I say, I had 2 mornings out - Friday I went to Hampton Court to see the tulip festival -  pics here

and Saturday of course, was Kew  pics here

I shared some photos on FB whilst I was at each  but these may tempt you to see more!

WOYWW 671

Welcome deskers, we find ourselves at Wednesday again.  Heading to Julia's for WOYWW again to share our crafty spaces...

I've made a birthday card using a couple of the new Paperartsy mini stamps I got last week

the friend this is destined for won't see this despite being a crafter so I feel fairly safe to share it here

I took another desk (floor) shot this week too, you can see the new stamps haven't been put away (indeed, the storage for the Minis is full so I will need to re-organise that...)

there might be time (but probably not inclination) over the forthcoming Easter weekend to do something about that!  I am certainly looking forward to my long weekend

Last week's Kew trip next  - here

For those of you whose desks I can't visit before work, it will be evening as we have a work training day out of the office so won't be getting a normal lunch break; so I'll see you soon!

Happy WOYWW.

WOYWW 670

The weeks keep on rising, so quickly!  week 670 of this fabulous desk hop run by Julia at the Stamping Ground - come join us!

For the first time in a while, I have new goodies to share   -  Last week Paperartsy had some more new releases and whilst the first couple of designers offerings weren't really my style,

I adored the mini stamps that originally started in their Ink and theDog range and these latest designs, plus small stencils, shouted at me

and promptly jumped into my basket, landing on the doormat on Tuesday
I pulled out my A5 sized journal at the weekend, not really knowing what to do - but the page on the left was already started, I'd played with the big stencil, and just doodled some outlines to it and added a bit of a stencilled background

the page on the right, the pink paint was a mop up from something or other - so long ago I have no idea what and I stencilled some flowers (using Distress Oxide inks)  on top, intending to come back and add to it ...
maybe next week!

it's been a long time since I worked in this journal, rather than the larger multi surfaced Dina Wakley journals  and it was quite fun.

Just time to add the links to last weekend's trip to Kew, it was cold, such a contrast to the warmth of the previous week but still sunny (mostly)
catch the blossom here
sneak peak for you..

see you soon!  happy WOYWW

WOYWW 669

Welcome deskers, it is Wednesday again already,  so must be time for WOYWW
I think I made a rash comment last week about there may be more crafting on show this week....I might have exaggerated

However,  there is a birthday card for my friend Kirsty at work

I used some of the Tracy Scott pattern building stamps
and coloured them with the Prismacolour pencils  -

it looked good at this stage

the greeting ended up a bit wonky because I didn't want to hide the words on the  horizontal strip with the vertical and then dropped it on the card

however Kirsty liked it which was the main thing (and I even decorated the envelope!)

so that's the extent of the crafting!

lets go to Kew instead!

where the blossom was a-ma-zing

Here's looking to your desks!

WOYWW 668

Another Wednesday has rolled around and it's time for WOYWW again.

I've done even less crafting than last week

a birthday card for a girl at work using the Dina birds

so I took a shot of the "desk"  as well

Last weekend's trip to Kew was beautiful,  the sun shone and Spring had sprung.  Check out the magnolias here!

the sunshine and my new hair colour brought out the selfies too!  (well it's the same red I always have but it was newly done)

the fountain in the pond is one of my favourite spots at Kew

Looking forward to seeing some more creative desks very soon!  Happy WOYWW

WOYWW 667

Can't quite believe it's Wednesday again already,  time for WOYWW once more.

I had a great time at Ally Pally last Saturday - not because the show was good, because it was a mere shadow of it's former glory and the number of stands was very poor (unless you're into peel offs)  but it was great to meet up with my friend Lin for the first time since Covid and probably a year before that too.

This was what I bought...

a pack of A4 white card, which was what I needed to get.

the square plate I snaffled from the cafe as Lin's daughter persuaded us we'd be able to "do something with those"

I've not even opened an ink pad this week so nothing crafty to actually share today
because Lin had a hospital appointment in the morning we didn't get there till 1 - this was the hall...  very different to the craft shows I remember
you do always (weather permitting) get such a great view across London

So that meant my Kew trip was Sunday - shame, because the weather was much more drizzly and cool but I was determined to go.

the orchids have been removed but the centrepiece was still in place - and the reflection made it look like a ferris wheel!
and the magnolias were awesome

Thanks for visiting, I'll pop round later but work is manically busy so it may not be till later.
