WOYWW 763

We find ourselves at Wednesday again, WOYWW day... head to Julia's for the links

I hope you are all keeping warm, it's turned a tad cold hasn't it!  Luckily we've had no snow here, and not meant to.

there is a wide angle view of the floor-desk  today.
I was playing around in the small kraft journal at the weekend
I did mean to finish the page before today's WOYWW but ....
why break the habits of the last few weeks!

Saturday was a very grey day at Kew and I was feeling as grey as the day, so didn't take many photos - hopefully the coming Saturday will be brighter and with more colour!

there were a few pops of colour....

berries on the Sacred Bamboo  (I must find out why it's called that)

and the bright yellow Mahonia

thanks for looking - it's likely I'll be late visiting, unless you link before I head to work,  as I probably won't get time at lunchtime to stop by.

Happy WOYWW!

I could do with a snow day Helen but glad there isn't any where you are. Like how the page is progressing. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

Your page seems to be off to a good start! I have a stamp that resembles the one you are using in your journal. I haven't used it yet but I have ideas. I like how you are using the image in your journal!

It is cold here. We dodged a bullet when the rain that was forcast for our area did not materialize. Icy roads are the bane of a Georgia Driver's existence!

Enjoy the remainder of the week!

I like the colors you are using in your journal. Hoping I get time today to actually create at the desk. So glad I cleaned up most all of my space. Found things I forgot about. I'd say we have NO flowering plants everything outside is bare sticks. Have a great week

Hi Helen, we've had snow here but not in any large amount and it'd clear today the rain has been more of a problembut at least we can get to see my mum now without having to drive an extra 36 miles, it's normally 52. Hope we get to see the finished pages. Happy woyww, Angela x11x

I’ve had a great idea - I’m sure Julia would LOVE a jigsaw of that beautiful berries photo….LoL!! They’re such gorgeous colours and I do love the scent of a mahonia, something uplifting about it on grey winter days. Nothing grey about your journal page though, gorgeous colours!

Lovely journal work - that's a gorgeous colour to work with. The shot of your floor desk makes my knees ache just looking at it, but I'm very impressed with how organised and neat everything is! Despite it creating beautiful photo opportunities I'm very glad we aren't in for snow this far south!
Have a great week

I like your journal pages and your photos of Kew bring a lovely spot of colour to this cold day. I love the irises, in particular and wonder if the sacred bamboo is named for being so fruitful?
Take care and happy WOYWW

I love the pops of colour in winter and even better when the Spring flowers start to pop up.

Just chuckling at Jan's comment re berries jig saw for Julia. It would make a fab one but would certainly test the patience a little! Gorgeous photos and I love your journal page. x x Jo

Nice page - I do like that leafy frond. I am such a fan! Don't think there are many leafy fronds I DON'T like LOL! Real ones (at Kew as well ;-))

Happy WOYWW Day!

I had a look for you: This Flower Essence is for opening and aligning the main chakras to receive light energy. It helps us be a heavenly bamboo, a wonderful, flexible pillar of light. - Helps us stay grounded in our divine identity especially during spiritual growth spurts.
It’s not at a bamboo and the berries are poisonous to people.
Remember the song “I love to boogie “ well “I love to Google” 🤣🤣

You can have some of our snow if you want! LOL! Lots to give away! I love the red berries in the winter. WE have a crab apple tree with tiny red apples that the squirrels love, and in the Spring the Blue Jays eat them as well, but by then they are fermented, and the birds get drunk! Keep going on that beautiful blue journal page! Have a great week, Lindart #18

Grey days are the worst aren't they, that oppressive feeling really affects my mood. Not loving this cold snap much either! So now to stop moaning and pour some like on your journal page, I just love that leaf/branch image, mines a wood mount from Magenta, which of course doubles my love! I do like the figure too, I will never understand how you make such unlikely pairings with images work so well, so not in my skill set, and definitely a collage win. I don't envy you your morning walks to the bus this week, stay warm as much as you can, getting home must be a relief!

Lovely bright pics from Kew anyway! Waiting to see how the page develops! Happy WOYWW! Susan #2

Do tell us about the Sacred Bamboo when you find out please.
Lovely journal page - look forward to seeing more.
Well, sorry I am so late commenting. Had an accident Tuesday in the house (not in the snow) and am in a bit of a mess. Knee gashed open and can't be stitched as I must have left some skin on the carpet. Ribs broken. It really is a mess and going to take a long time to get knee right.
Ah well! Hugs, Neet 7 xx
