WOYWW 762

Happy Wednesday, fellow deskers. We're gathering again for WOYWW at Julia's.

My non new year's resolution to create more art didn't last long...

I added some birds and some dots to this page I started some weeks ago...  there's some pink stamping of the same text too, only some of it is upside down as I didn't check the stamp properly!   I did try to rub it off but fairly unsuccessfully.  I don't think it shows though.  still it's all "texture" isn't it...

I had my first visit of 2024 to Kew... and I even set up a file on my computer for possible DIY calendar shots with one of the pictures I took too... finally!  (Been talking about doing this for years)

you won't be surprised that it was a "moody sky" photo..

it may not make the final cut for a January shot, but it's a start!

Maybe next week I'll have some more crafting to show you (don't hold your breath)  but till then, happy WOYWW and I'll see you soon.

I have had calendars made from photos of the dogs for years now, everyone loves them and they are a useful Christmas present that you know people will use, better than something they don't really want so you go for it. WOYWW hugs Angela x11x

I love the idea of you making a Kew calendar, Helen, you take fantastic photos. I’d go with your snowdrops for January. It’s amazing how much colour there is at Kew at this time of year with the passionflowers and hellebores.
Take care on your works to work
Happy WOYWW

What a fab idea to make a calendar of your Kew pics....my only problem would be I would struggle to decide which ones to use cos there's so many fab ones.

Bad news about the non NY resolution - I have to report there hasn't been much on my TaDa! List either. But I have got quite a few cards done. Love the moody picture and a calender would be a great idea!! Have booked to see the orchids with my friend but right at the end as I am away most of February. Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #10

I'd say YES do the calendar I love that pink card. I am missing the variety of birds, they leave here when winter shows up and go south. Have a great week

At last! I've been telling you for ages you should do a calendar, look forward to seeing your choices.
Your first paragraph is exactly why i don't make any NY resolutions.

Love your page, Helen! It is amazing the difference a little splatter of white can make.

Your photo is lovely! Just looking at it is calming!

Aw,, great use of the birds, and actually, even if the pink text did show, it really doesn't matter in the overall look of the pages, really nice! I really am looking forward to the piles that you're going to work on this year! I think you already have a kerjillion photos you could pick, and not just featuring Kew, different blooms, insects, raindrops, you could produce loads of themed! Great idea though.

Loving your pink page and had to hunt for the upside down stamping LOL. It certainly doesn't matter and personally I would just have done more of it like that, I mean why not! I'm taking all my stumbles as happy accidents and going with it. Can't believe it has taken so many years for me to get into journaling properly and enjoying it too, all life's rich tapestry methinks. Hugs BJ#15
