WOYWW 630

Welcome back happy desk peeps  - it's another Wednesday desk peek time... WOYWW week 630

Thanks for all your kind birthday wishes - my birthday was of course spent at Kew - it was Saturday, right!!  you can see the pics here

I had some birthday goodies - some from a friend, and some from me to me!!

the paints were to add to my Dina collection.

the denim purse was from Jan for my "caption competition" win from her post the week before last which came with a lovely card

these were from me to me

one or two more Dina stencils
that fell into my basket whilst
ordering the pre-order newest releases
from Dina!   3 new gloss spray paint colours - brand new colours
which will also be in paint form too, once Ranger can get the supplies sorted

and a couple of chipboard shape packs and some heavy duty watercolour paper

then I had some flowers (and a Marks & Spencer gift voucher) from work for my birthday..  It's a good job the buses are still quite empty, there was plenty of room on a seat for them and for me!

which I had to spread between 2 vases!

I didn't arrange them very well,  I must go back and do that!

I did do  a bit of crafting - well some I stamped out some images ready to grab for a journal page
when the mood takes me

not sure if it shows (it certainly doesn't as I am typing this in the evening gloom) but some of the multi-faces are in different colour ink - the only one I can tell for sure that isn't black, is the pink set of faces!

and then last week's Dina Wakley supporter group session saw her doing some abstract art in her journal... so I had a go at that too(it's not very abstract, it's too regimented I think)

which is how you find my floorspace/desk today... the new goodies not yet put away!

sorry this has been quite a photo-heavy post...

just one more  for you,  to tempt you to the Kew post linked above..

it was poppy heaven at Kew last week!
see you soon - but probably not till this evening after work

Glad you had a good birthday Helen. I like your abstract page - especially the use of white space. The flowers are lovely and the craft goodies are fab! Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #9

Lovely flowers from work, it must have been lovely to have to carry home such loveliness on the bus, very cheering for others too! Your Dina collection is really impressive! I can see blue in the multi faces, but the rest look black. Not that that matters, as soon as you use them on a page, we’ll see the colour intent! Interesting that you ‘pre-stamp’ stuff. I don’t, can’t guarantee I’ll ever find it again!

I meant to get to your Kew post and haven't. I can't seem to catch up and as my vacation nears, I fear I will be even further behind. I love, love, love the stencils. They are awesome. Sometimes we have to treat ourselves to what we want.

And I also love the flowers they gave you from work. I was wondering if you and the gang were going to Wimbledon this year. Happy WOYWW from # 12.

Happy WOYWW. I love poppies (we have some red ones in our garden and a friend is sending me seeds for orange flowers), so thank you for sharing that photo. So much new stash. I get so overwhelmed if I have too much in my craft room, so my enjoyment of a clearer space continues. I now have the space to have 4 crafters join me, so hoping that it will be safe to invite them into our home soon. Ali x #15

Happy Belated Birthday to you and such a lovely haul. You are one lucky girl, with all the Dina-goodness. Treating yourself, or getting treated to new stash is just the BEST. Not got the new colours myself but I fell off the AJ wagon for a bit and need to ease back in to it before I start amassing more stuff. :D

Happy WOYWW!

Hope you get lots of playtime this weekend, your abstract looks good to me. Happy WoywW Tracey xx

What a lovely bouquet or two! You must work with some nice people to keep track of your birthday! I thought I recognised that pouch as Jan's handy work and you're absolutely allowed to spoil yourself on your birthday - in fact, it's obligatory! Happy belated, hope you have a good week! xx zsuzsa #31

Happy Belated birthday!! (I think I was late last year as well) You are on my list but I have no concept of time at the mo, you'll just have to forgive me. Gorgeous flowers, beautiful bright colours. Of course you were at Kew for your birthday I would expect nothing less. My poppies have all finished for this year, apart from the little yellow and orange ones, they were really beautiful and so many! I think they are my favourite after the tulips. Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, love n hugs Cindy #18

Happy belated birthday, Helen, and I love your presents, especially the ones from you to you! Goegeous flowers, and I'm glad your work colleagues were so generous. Also poppies - I adore them too. For me, there is nothing more beautiful than a field full of them. I took a load of photos when we were on holiday in Norfolk once. We've got a couple of very pretty pink ones coming out in the garden at the moment - I'll probably post those photos next week.

Thank you for your visit and for your good wishes for my operation on 9th. They have been brilliant and haven't kept me waiting at all. I am glad you liked my "Thinking of you" card.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Helen, I would say at first glance on my screen the face to the left of the pink one has purple undertones but, the others all look black to me. :) YAY the birthday fairy was good to you this year ;)
