WOYWW 626

Welcome back deskers -  time for another WOYWW  Queen of the Desks Julia has the details should you be new to the planet and not know what this is all about!

My atc from my swap partner Elizabeth (and Bleubeard) arrived last Wednesday, taking only one of the 3 weeks she feared it may take to arrive - with 2 postcards!

Thanks Elizabeth!

The weekend just gone was a Bank Holiday here in the UK and - surprise surprise - we had good weather! Saturday of course was Kew -check the Kew post here

I thought I'd missed the laburnum arch as I kept forgetting to go and check it out!

but I did also managed to have some crafty play time too

another spread in the Kraft journal - hopefully Neet, you can make it out better this time - yes, all the pages are Kraft cardstock, nice and thick, and take a lot of mixed media punishment
"desk" shot of the floor taken from the sofa on Monday - not much has changed since then

So that's me for this week.  I'll be round to see your desks either at lunchtime (if we're not too busy)  or after work!

Happy WOYWW

I'm so glad you got it and the postcards, too. I enlarged your photos (what else is new) and was in awe of both the journal page AND all those products you have sitting where they can be reached. I can't believe all you have at your disposal. You amaze me and your great number of stencils, stamps, paint, inks, and stamp pads. Totally in AWE, dear. Not playing this week, but I appreciate your shout out.

What a “desk!” Love the journal page, missing doing those as I am so consumed by tidying! But I will get back to it soon. Enjoy the sunshine, however long it lasts. We had a fab walk around Stourhead the other day and it was so lovely I could have stayed for hours.

What great Happy mail from Elizabeth, i'm really sorry I missed the anniversary/birthday. Nice to see a double page spread in your journal, kraft card really does take so many mediums thrown at it.
The weather has been a delight over the past few days, beautiful for you to enjoy all that's stunning at Kew.
Happy WoywW Tracey xx

That Laburnham arch is gorgeous, I remember seeing the one at Bodnant in North Wales, so spectacular and all you could hear was the buzzing of bees! The Kraft pages make that a journal with a difference, you’re already well under way. Nice happy mail from Elizabeth too!

oh fantadtic journal pages! I can't believe you do all that on the floor, my knees would lock as well as my back and I'd be stuck down there all day, which wouldn't be that bad, as most of my stuff is on the floor anyway! Love all that craft stuff just handy to grab! and love the Kew pictures! Stay safe! Keep crafting! Happy WOYWW!? ((Lyn))#19

Good to know that mail from across the pond is not taking as long as it was, maybe things are getting back on track? Wasn't it nice to have good weather on the long weekend! Love your journal and your desk and seeing all your supplies, it looks like having a lovely craft shop in your house and I would like to browse. Elle #27, EOTC

Your floor desk is definitely impressive, Helen. I can't imagine how you get comfortable working down there, though! Do you sit on your haunches with your feet underneath? I can't get comfortable on the floor these days!! Lovely Kew photos again. It's amazing that we actually had a sunny Bank Holiday, isn't it. Almost guaranteed to rain.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Helen! Thanks for your visit! I love the Kew pics, as always, those yellow (poppies?) are gorgeous. Your journal page is fun, and wow! What a view from your couch! I don't know if I could work on the floor like that anymore, very difficult to get back up. I might just sleep there! Have a great week, Lindart #30

You know what? I can't remember the last time I visited Kew. Many, many years ago. I probably haven't been since I last lived in London, so we'll over 20 years ago. I should make an effort to get back there some day...

Happy WOYWW!
