WOYWW 512.....

Hello welcome deskers one and all.. It's Wednesday again, so it can only mean one thing... I've been shopping and got more new stuff to share with the gang at Stamping-Ground for WOYWW

some more new JoFY stamps for Paperartsy...
and I have my eye on some more too!  Just waiting for my favourite stockists to get them in.

they just arrived tonight (prepping this post Tuesday night) so they're still in the packets.
Well, actually I keep them in the packets so when the cling gives out (as it always does) I don't lose random stamps in the storage box.  I just cut the top off for easy access.

at the weekend I had a birthday card to make, and I couldn't bear to cut up the Distress Oxide masterboard sheet I shared last week, so made another one!

this is a  JoFY stamp too,
then I added some more layers to the journal page but forgot to take in between photos...

there's black modelling paste (the dotty circles) and more layers of distress oxide and more stamping (more circles) and then some watered down gesso...

I wanted to splatter the gesso but couldn't find my fan brush (it's here somewhere!) so used a brayer...

Not very happy with it now, so might cover up some more yet.
I'll be round to visit your desks as soon as I can.   Happy Desk Day!    There are of course, more Kew pics from last weekend here

Love those stamps, very whimsical. Funny how critical we are of our own work, frankly I love what you have done here.

Ooh, like the look of those JoFY's! Also like the way you used some others to make that birthday card - very nice, lucky recipient.
Great Journal page too - have a good week. Kew at weekend?

I've not seen those stamp sets Helen, like the *Recharge* quote so many things you could use that one for. I keep my stamps in the packet too but usually because the majority of the time they never get inked (Don't shout at me!!) Great card & I love that continuation journal page... don't cover too much up now.

I can imagine you sitting there playing around with the colours. It’s so lovely to craft but equally as frustrating isn’t it.
Enjoy it all and have a good week

I chuckled at your comment 'I couldn'y bear to cut up the masterboard'. I guess we are all the same cos I have many pieces of fabric I still haven't cut into :-)

Why aren’t you happy with it? As I say so often, I don’t get know you can tell!! Those pages are going to be extra thick by comparison to others in that book! You do know don’t you, that you don’t have to have a new purchase to show on a Wednesday, that it’s not the WOYWW law???!!!!!!!! Ah I slay myself.

I do like your journal page and have the same question as Julia: why don't you like it? It might be because of the image you had in your mind and wanted to achieve... try to look with 'fresh eyes' and your opinion might change - but it's a fact that some pages you don't like yourself ARE liked by others... it happens to me all the time. Happy woyww amd a hug from Holland. Marit #18

Gorgeous new stash - I love the stamps and that card you made is fab - what a great flower stamp - I really like the little white highlights around the petal edges - so eye catching. The journal page is looking great too, I really like what you've done with it - I'll look forward to seeing what you add to it.
Have a great week,

Happy WOYWW and thank you for your earlier visit. I love the style of the flower stamp you used to create the card. Perhaps I could doodle something similar myself, as I have lots of birthdays coming up. Ali x #15

Gorgeous pages, Helen! I love your colours. Thank you for your visit, and I'm sorry you are yet another one who can't see my photos this week. It seems I'm the only one who can! I couldn't see Julia's either this a.m. on the iPad, but then I could on the laptop so I don't know what's going on - I think it's wretched google again. I'm having a job putting back all the photos from 8 years' worth of blogging after every single one disappeared when they stopped Google+. Are you able to see the photos on any of my other posts or is it just this week's one?

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Helen, your new stamps look great fun. That's not a brand I have ever tried. Love the flower on your birthday card too. I'm definitely into flower cards at the moment, and Gorjuss stamps. Thanks for stopping by earlier, and have a lovely week, hugs Heather xx #11

Thanks for checking back on my blog to see if the photos were working. I really don't understand this, and can only hope they will come back! I can still see them. I might try another post and see if they work in that.

Really sorry you still can't see my photos, Helen. I've gone on a forum with a query and hope I'll get a reply soon. I think the next step may be to reinstall Open Live Writer again and see if that works... The funny thing is that I can see my photos when I go on my blog online, but nobody else can. I don't understand that at all.
