WOYWW 511

Hi deskers, it's Wednesday again, time to share our desks chez Julia.. who is probably sitting in the sun right now...
You all know I've been in a spendy phase, right?    err....

first up, stencils (I mentioned them last week, and both lots arrived at the same time)

the top 3 are by France Papillon (I've got the small version of the circles already, but fancied the bigger ones too.)

the bottom three are from the Crafters Workshop - they keep on releasing fab new stencils!
the tree, in the middle I blame on You-Tube...

then, I got a newsletter from Country View Crafts that tempted me .....
these papers arrived today
10 double sided sheets of gorgeousness - plus the backs of the front and back covers.

sorry about the glare from the light!  I didn't want to take them out of the packet.

it's a set called Mechanical Fantasy.

I did a little more faffing with the A3 sheet that is currently a bit like a masterboard...
more oxide splatters, I love the drips

some white to make it pop, some more stamping,

it still isn't done as a background, it needs some black I feel.

May not use it for die cuts now, may use it in journals, or some of it.

I also flipped it over to dry it from the back too, I like the back as well!

I had a bit of a play in a journal with some of the new stencils too, and the colour is largely mop up from above.

so, that's me.  what have you been up to this week?  I'll drop by when I can (after work unless you're a real early bird!)

Very nice new stash Helen, Stencils are irresistible as they take up no room at all. Love that master board. Sometimes it's just nice to embrace the patterns and shapes created and not cut into it at all. Just enjoy playing with them!

Hi Helen, it looks like they will all be put to good use your stencils. ( I probably should get more of them, it seems like every time there is a cool looking stencil challenge I do not seem to have the right kind for the technique haha) :) love the backgrounds too, ~Stacy #27

How do you know it needs some black? I would instantly say that black would make a great final colour for text, but not really sure if I could add it as another background colour. We are wired sooo differently! and then similarly... I really like the middle of the FP stencils, that’s uneven plaid really appeals to me. And the text one, but I think that’s a given by now! I very nearly choked on my coffee when I read about the pack of papers. You don’t want to open them.....does that mean itkl be an age before you actually use them. The idea of that makes me feel like a savage - I do so much scrapbooking these days that I barely get new papers out of the bag before I’m using them!!

Hi Helen! Great post today, love the stencils, especially the Balzer words one, will have to look for that one! And all the distress spatters - awesome! Thanks for your visit, and have a great week, Lindart #25

First of all, thanks for linking me Helen.
Wow, what a lot of lovely spending. Some gorgeous stencils there - I do like stencils but I don't feel I use them enough. I think if I had a bigger room and a dedicated corner to squirt inks I would get more out out them - but them I am not that good with spraying so maybe not.
Like the masterboard and the journal pages - I love your backgrounds.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx

Ooh, scrumptious stencils. I'm definitely envious of the France Papillon ones - those circles were out of stock by the time I got there. And the Stamperia papers look great too. The layers of your Oxide splatter close-up are simply amazing. I can see why you don't want to cut it up.
