WOYWW 509

Time for another WOYWW ..  time to gather at Julia's The Stamping Ground  and our desk-sharing day.
Thanks for all the comments last week  - can't show you a finished canvas, because - it isn't!
There are a couple of journal pages that have developed a bit (I have decided to finish up the part-done pages I was working on last year for the France Papillon facebook group ALAD/ASAW (a layer a day/a spread a week) challenge that fell by the wayside...

this one is kind of finished (I think)

and this one most definitely isn't!

Eagle eyed viewers (or fans of Paperartsy) might recognise new shapes in the blue page..

....Happy mail has arrived!

a selection of new stamps, new stencils,  and Seth's new Baked Texture and Baked Velvet embossing powders.

The large flower stencil (by JoFY) is what I used in the blue page above.

The smaller flower is a JoFY stamp from an earlier stamp set that more or less matches the stencil shape (there is a new stamp to go with the new stencil but I had to stop adding things to my basket so that's for another day!)

I have also had an email to say that my Distress Oxide sprays have been dispatched too.
(at last!)

I had a 500 photo strong visit to Kew last Saturday - quite a few of which found there way onto the blog here  if you have (quite a bit of) time to look!
As you may now, I love taking close ups.. this is one of my faves from last week. I will be making a final visit to this year's orchid display this coming Saturday  - that month went quick!

I'll leave you here as you'll need to get on with more desks!  happy WOYWW   Thanks for dropping by.

My spending has been curbed of late so am glad you are making up for it for me. Love that big blue flower! Finding the next set of pages very interesting - just love the colours you have used and wish it was mine.
The pink of that flower is , well, fantastic! What a gorgeous colour, what a gorgeous photo.

Happy WOYWW. I am jealous. Seth Apter's stash is the one thing that I would really like in my craft room. Never got any of his embossing powders. Perhaps I will treat myself one day. Wonderful photos from Kew, as usual. The weather is horrible today and the flowers in the hedges are really getting battered. Ali x #11

Ooh such lovely new stash - I have some baked texture powders which are great but I LOVE the sound of the Baked Velvet - I must look in to finding those and I'm sure I'll buy them for the name alone! Your pages are looking fabulous - the blue flowers are so spectacular and I love the unfinished pages - what gorgeous colours and texture - I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them. I shall try and visit the Kew pics later when I have more time - I do so love a wander through Kew with you.
Have a great week,

Hello Helen. Very nice journal spreads. What a great pile of new goodies too!! I have some of the distress oxide pads and enjoy using them but I don't use them as much as what I thought I would. Oh well.

Thanks for sharing and happy WOYWW!

I love your pages, Helen! I hadn't heard about Distress Oxide sprays... O dear, I can feel the urge to Shop Online coming on again... but first I need to get back in the studio and actually DO something!! All this theoretical crafting is doing my head in! Love your flower close-up. It must be a joy to have Kew close enough at hand for your regular visits, and to be able to follow the seasons. I've never been but it must be lovely. Thank you for your visit - your comment came through fine! It's nice to be back.

Happy WOYWW,

Beautiful grevillea close up, Helen, I’ve a number of them in my garde or to take some to share for you! They look great close up. So do bottle brush, it’s the dew dropping ends which honey eating birds love.
Nice new stash, must admit I wonder how you remember what you have, I certainly struggle with that at times! New stamps lol great but love texture on green page.

Goodmorning Julia, thanks for your visit on my blog yesterday - although I linked you to an old post... djeez, I (almost) always check my links but was a bit tired yesterday and just hit the enter button without checking... anyway, put a new link in the list now so you can come over and take another walk with me ;) The 'blue page' is nice but I really LOVE the colors on that second spread.. and such a beautiful close up photo! Have a great day, love from Holland. Marit #32
