WOYWW 196

Can't quite believe I'm writing another WOYWW post already! I know I've blogged in between, but really, where do the weeks go?  Head over to Julia's via the link above for all the low-down and the link-up.

Today is the day after Craft Club (run by my sister-in-law and a friend of hers) locally to me (always room for more if you're nearby! ask for details...) This month we were doing decopatch. Something I've looked at, though 'yes, that's quite pretty but do I want to have a go...' Anyhow I did...and it is much more fun than I thought, and very relaxing. A fun evening indeed
I took an 'H' to do - it's not finished,  but I have brought it and some glue and the rest of the paper home to finish!
My sister-in-law Lynne. She'll kill me!!
This side's finished though...!!!

I also had some happy mail at the weekend - a few weeks ago, Julia (OUR Julia!) offered up a couple of tickets for the forthcoming Creative Stitches and Hobbycraft show at either NEC or Excel (London) and I put in for the Excel ones. Blow me down, Julia's daughter only pulled my name out of the hat - so my sister-in-law and I are off in April for a day out!

Watch this space, as they say!.
As ever, I'll visit as many of you as I can over the next few days. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Helen, I have seen the word decopatch around but not tried it - yet! However, I have a huge letter E somewhere that could do with a bit of prettying up so I may be tempted to give it a try. Congratulations on your win - enjoy the day out with your sister-in-law, unless she really does 'kill' you for taking a sneaky pic :) Have a happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #26

That's a great H Helen, I've seen other people do decopatch and it does look like it would be fun in short bursts! Lucky you winning the tickets, although I know you and craft shows don't really get on and you'd never find anything to buy there, lol!!!

Lovely H! I have done a bit of decopatch with F&T and it's really theraputic. It goes without saying that Tom is far better at it than me as he just plonks the tissue on it whereas I try to make it with some artistic eye - turns out his method works best!

How exciting to have won a grnad day out! I know you will have oodles of fun x Mwah as always!

Happy Wednesday!

I like your decopatched H - I have done a D a few months ago as one of these demo days in a store in our city! It is fun but I don't think I would take it up as a hobby - well at least you learned how to do it! I think I will be going to Ally Pally - will you be coming too?? Let me know so I can find you there!
Lots of hugs,

Loving the "H" there Helen. Your cradt club sounds great, perhaps you could send me some info about it. Are there projects each time, what you need to take, cost, where it is, that sort of thing. Would be nice to meet up although I can't sit for any length of time with my current condition, perhaps when I am better as I am quite depressed with it all right now and to meet up with some crafty ladies would be cool. Thanks BJ

You are lucky having a club so close. As far as I know we have nothing nearby, so I will have to be satisfied with all my blogging friends. Decoupatch is new to me, but your H looks great. Have a wonderful time at the NEC show and watch out for the temptation for your credit card. xx Maggie #37

Oh wow didn't realise you had won, that's fab news. Your H looks lush, I've not done that either but guess it's quite therapeutic layering the pieces on. I'm just starting my desk visiting as I rested yesterday so I could go to footy last night, as you know. We (Bristol Rovers) won, you probably saw that too! So I am a very happy Zoe today. Take care Zo xx 92
