The Fragrance of Flowers

So today I had to play with my new set of Jo Firth-Young stamps purchased on Sunday. I tell you, I stood in front of them for so long trying to decide which set to get - I could only get one this time - it was hard, they are all so gorgeous!  (I went for JOFY 12 but also used the earlier flower release, JOFY 09)

The background to the journal page started with some paint left over on my craft mat, namely tinned peas and (I think) honey dew. or it may be vanilla. It was yesterday, and I've forgotten, m'lud!

I stamped the images in black archival and painted them with a selection of colours - London Bus, Zesty Zing, Beach Hut, South Pacific and as a base for some of the flowers, watered down Stone. The leaves are a mixture of Hey Pesto, Lime Light and Hyde Park.

I used one of the single leaves, the criss-cross hatch (stamped in Memento London Fog which is a soft grey colour) and the sentiment from JOFY 12  I also used along the grass, but which doesn't show up in the picture, the little stones, also in London Fog.

I was so busy doing this page, that I missed the 7pm launch of Suzane's latest project on the Paperartsy blog, but I've caught up with it now, and it is another beauty!

Now, to re-heat the cup of tea that has got cold... laters,  peeps!!

That's so lovely. The colours looks great against the background. I love set 12 too, think it will be the one I get next.

Glad you got to have a play with your new stamps, they certainly mingle very well with the previous sets. Lovely pages.

The more I think about it, the more I think we may well have been on that stand at the same time, especially if you said you hardly left it. Another time perhaps.

The stamps really are amazing and love what you've done with them, I've yet to have a play still too busy with Dylusions.
