ATC's - A la Suzz for Paperartsy

So Suzz's latest offering was an ATC trio - using some fab colours. Check her post out at the Paperartsy blog here

I have the Pewter Fresco paint, and after giving it a good stir - it had settled quite a lot - painted a layer onto my base tag. Went over the top of the crackle glaze layer with Baltic Blue - got some fabulous crackles but it is very dark - so have a plain atc waiting for something to accent it with - it's too dark for stamping on, I feel!

I have sanded it back with a sanding block, and really like it - will do something to it, I promise!

I also took another atc sized piece of metal card and painted that with the fabulous South Pacific colour (new to me, so had to try it out!)  Added the crackle glaze layer, and then Limelight Fresco. Oh, wow, again, what crackles - and I just love the South Pacific peaking through. (this is cut on Paperartsy's Smoothy paper - I got much better results doing the cracking on this than on one of my custom bought atc cards!!

I decided I didn't want to stamp direct onto the atc as i was worried about the stamped image not showing up, so took inspiration from another Paperartsy video and stamped onto their Crackly (tissue paper), which is fabulous to work on/with. .

Painted the flower (from back and front) with Zesty Zing and Brown Shed (the flowers), Hey Pesto and Hyde Park (leaves) and Limelight to blend in the excess tissue.

Adhered the flower to the atc with Satin Glaze and coated it over the top too.

I'd like to say a big thanks to Suzz for her fabulous artwork this week - see you next month, Suzz!

Great ATCs, I love the brightness of the third one, it makes me think of summer. Don't forget to show us what you do with the other two, I love the colours.

Your on a roll again this week Helen. Love Pewter/Baltic Blue combo, you could always try adding an opaque like Snowflake or Nougat to lighten the colour or add some water to thin the consistency down, this will give you more of a translucent effect. South Pacific is my new love too, thanks again for being inspired to create more art. x

I see you've got the crackle sorted out now, it looks fab.

Great experimenting with the colours isn't it.

I love how when you sand it back it creates an instant frame!!
