the view from the top of the hill - it was a lovely clear day.
the Palm Court entrance. it is such a beautiful building, inside and out.
inside the Palm Court area. This is where we used to queue, but no more!!
The queen of demos. Leandra (left) and Lin. I spent hours watching them today - they were so inspiring. Leandra has tweeted some of her fab work, but I took some pics of what she was doing too, and they're at the end.
the old organ, high up, behind the Paperartsy stand.
Gorgeous stained glass at the other end of the hall!
my stash - bit of a splurge, but it had to be done!! I needed a treat after a tough few weeks... it's not quite as bad as it looks as the orange stickers on the Tim Holtz stuff is all half price...
Now for Leandra's demo's (I didn't take any photos of Lin's demo's not sure why!)
Leandra was demo'ing with puff paint and spraying watered down Fresco paints - I can't wait to give this a go...
and you get this!
This was based on her and Lin's recent visit to Ireland for classes with Finnibar (sorry, don't have her web-link) but this is Leandra's blog about it
You embellish first, then spray paint and then put the accent stamping on.... back to front but SO effective.
just stunning! Can't wait to try this too!
Thanks to Lin and Leandra for some amazing demo's today, I had so much fun, and it was lovely to catch up with some other old friends and some new ones too.
This is the fabulous tag Lin made and gave me - I have such a wonderful collection of these now, one day I will frame them and put the on the wall!!

Hi Helen - thank you so much for such a prompt post!!! I would have been toooooo tired after all that excitement. Went to blog as soon as you tweeted!! Fun . . . Next step - will become a follower on your blog! Sleep tight - Sally xoxo
Thanks for sharing your day. I'm so pleased you enjoyed yourself & bought some new goodies - you deserve them!
Great snapshots Helen, looks like a very enjoyable day. Thanks for sharing it with us, hope to see you in a few weeks at Kettering. x
Good to see you today Helen, great photos, glad you were able to treat yourself to some stash. Good luck with your interview.
Too tired to blog myself, got home just in time to watch Dr Who :o)

Great post H, lovely photos, I forget that AP really is a marvellous building, other than just a venue. An hour queue means some serious shoppers indeed....and you right there among them of course! lovely loot. Prolly worth the trip of rehouse two demo gals alone, huh.
Kucky, lucky YOU! Great photos of the beautiful hall and of the georgous tags!!!
I'm always impressed when you bring us along on your trips. This is no different. The architecture is amazing, and you have captured it so well.
And the stash is wonderful. I wish I could get TH for 1/2 price.
Oh it looks so much more bright and airy. So it will be there in April too? Why don't you queue in the Palm Court now? Is it the hall over near the loos? How as it for crowding now - was it still a crush or much better?
Love all the piccies and the stash haul was very much deserved. Love that Finnibar inspired tag - I'm going to check out her blog post about that technique.
Fab post!
p.s why do you queue for an hour? I often wonder about the people I hear saying they have queued for so long - is that how people get to the tables doing the classes so quickly (they are always full by the time we get in)
Thanks for the photo's and sharing your fabby stash pile! ;)
xoxo Sioux
ooh! Delicious looking stash! Even more sad I wasn't able to make it! Loved the new techniques and ideas though...
Half price Timmy goodies, wish I'd been there too. BJ
Woe you bought some cool stuff.
