WOYWW 170

Well, I've done a couple of DT bits since last time but nothing much else (there is one peaking out here - you'll be able to see it properly later!)  - I just haven't been in the mood.  I don't want to blather on here about my woes but things at working are coming to a head - so this is my offering for What's on your Workdesk today...

My CV in progress (thanks to my lovely friend Gabrielle for helping with it and making some invaluable suggestions) and some tips I got from the local paper's job pages above CVs - and the freebie stamp from the new Craft Stamper which just arrived in the post!

So head over to Julia's for some proper interesting desks and who knows, maybe next week the back wages will have been paid and I'll be a bit happier.. hope YOU have a good week and I'll try to visit you soon.

I'm not sure what a CV is, but that's a very nice freebie stamp. I like the heart tag, too. What can I say? I snooped!

would be interested to read the article from the paper - is there a link to an on-line version at all?

Hugs to you... go ink up that stamp to cheer yourself up.

Argh. No wonder you haven't been in a creative mood. The CV becomes a bit all consuming doesn't it, and the need to be drawing one up is another all consumer too..what a worry. I sincerely hope that at the very least wages are being sorted..I think if wages can't be paid, the company surely has to declare itself insolvent and let the government step in and pay redundancies..which in my experience they did pretty efficiently and quickly. Or are they stringing you along and relying on your goodwill and 'current climate' fears to see em through a cash crisis? I can't say anything nice about them, can you tell!
By the way, we've had to change the venue for Oct 13th...the nearest rail station is now PEWSEY...but Andover is still not a problem...the difference at the London end is probably much more complicated!

Hi Helen - sorry to hear you are job hunting. CVs take a while I know but it is worth it if you end up with a good one. Fingers crossed for you that you will have better news soon. Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 22

Aw Helen am so sorry to read this, I do hope it all gets sorted for you.

Good luck with the dreaded CV writing and fingers crossed you get everything due you very soon xx

Oh Helen, you have always been such a conscientious worker, I am so sorry you are looking for another job. Hope your cv is coming together nicely, any quick scans of it I am only too happy to offer. Such a worry too, some people like them clipped and short, others like them lengthy but you never know who wants what.
No wonder Mr Mojo is absenting himself at the moment - you have had one thing after another this past couple of years or so. Hope things improve for you.
Will be thinking of you and putting you in my prayers.
Hugs, Neet xx 84

Oh Helen, what a dilemma it must all be. Stay positive as sometimes things work out for the better. Take up Neet's offer if you need any help as she was a head of careers so knows the lot! Love your tag.
good luck Jo x

...Hi Helen thanks for stopping by, I've been out of the loop a wee while but I do hope all is ok with you, the CV's tell a story and your bit about work, I hope the quote helps in some way :) my Daughter & SIL had the house of their dreams slip away as the owners decided to stay on the day of exchange but they went ahead with their sale, but its worked out ok and they are with me for a while, so the quote was very apt for me...keep smiling...Mel :)

Hope you get your work stuff sorted satisfactorily, and then that it gives you space and time to play at your desk again instead of dealing with CVs. Happy WOYWW to you in any case!

Sometimes, when circumstances force your hand (like redundancy has for us a couple of time) it can be a positive experience in that it forces you to travel down a road you might not have done..and enjoy it more. I'm really not being rose-tinted-specs here, it might just be the best thing to move on. Good Luck.
Julia mentioned Pewsey station for coming to the crop, but BEDWYN is 5 minutes away from my village where the venue now is. We could pick you up from there if it helps. You would have to leave from Paddington though, not sure if that makes a difference to you?
