WOYWW 738

Hi deskers,  it's Wednesday again - the last one in July... WTH? (trying not to swear) Anyway, Wednesday, desk day. WOYWW day.

A slightly ore productive non desk this week.

but first, an anniversary atc and badge - a replacement, from beloved head desk girl Julia, as the original got lost in the post.

with a cute card.  which I seem to have photographed very badly!

thanks so much Julia!

Now, to my productivity...

I used the scraps I had left from the journal page 2 weeks ago and turned them into 2 cards.

I spent some time rummaging in a box of stamps for a greeting for the one on the left,  until I used a different one completely

I had to move a load of stuff from the top of the box (its the one behind my "desk" that has the basket full of more stuff sitting on top of it

to see what was inside.. I knew there'd be some text-y stamps in there and oh look, my peg stamps top right.   I wonder when I last opened this box!
this basket here...

and I made the start of another background with some of Seth's older stamps and a more purple-y colour way

Saturday was of course, Kew... another lovely visit
just one tempting photo as this has been a long enough post.

a gorgeous flowering cactus in the Princess of Wales conservatory.

Thanks for looking, happy WOYWW!

WOYWW 737

The weeks are whizzing by and it's Wednesday, again!  Time for WOYWW again.

I have nothing exciting to show today at all,  I added some extra stamping to the scraps left from last week's journal page... !

what a poor show!
But I will use them for something.

What could have been my day (or part day) crafting - Sunday -  ended up being Kew day because when i got to Kew on Saturday, it was just as they announced they'd be closed due to the bad weather... so I turned round and came home again!

You may ask why I didn't spend Saturday crafting instead...  a very good question !  I was home again by 9.30 but ... didn't!

Sunday, they were able to open; so another 5am alarm call and off...  yes, on my day off... both days 5 am... earlier than for work!!
Kew  beautiful colours of course
Kim was doing her candid photo shots again...

lots more yellow!

Thanks for looking, and I will be round to see how much more creative you've been than here!

WOYWW 736

hi deskers, it seems to be Wednesday again, - desk sharing day with the WOYWW gang

I did some more shopping - or at least the shopping I did last week arrived...

Seth Apter minis for Paperartsy, 8 mark making style stamps...
desk shot with a difference. stood up the journals (to the left) which seems to have made a bit more space - not to work in, just space!
then I created a journal page..

I think it needs some doodling over some of the stamped shapes,  but not had time to do that yet.

here's a few in progress photos of the layers

layer one sheet one

distress oxide ink, mustard seed
more stamping,
distress oxide , peacock feathers,  and one of the images was cracked pistachio
another layer of stamping

sheet 2,  same colours

base layer in the journal, same ink colours but spritzed with water and smooshed out more.  Same stamps and same colours

then it was tearing up the papers and layering onto the journal

I had real fun making this page.

I'll leave you with Kew last weekend...

plants with splatters!

there was lots of yellow at Kew last weekend, which is probably what lead to the yellow in the journal page, as it's not a colour I tend to use much.

looking for patterns in everything!

thanks for looking;  happy WOYWW and see you soon.

WOYWW 735

Another week has whizzed by and it's time to share our crafty spaces again with Julia at the Stamping-Ground for WOYWW

I've been shopping!  Been a while, but I was watching You Tube and saw some of Dina's old stamps being used so went hunting...was only looking for the birds!!

so I used some of them  to finish the journal page from last week

and stamped some more of them out on some copy paper

I will be adding them to projects at some stage...

Paperartsy are also having some new releases this week and I've put in one order so far.....some Seth Apter stamps.  They'll be sent out to me at the end of the week as Stampers Grove are having a mini holiday this week.

So to Kew...

I love the way that alliums explode!

Thanks for dropping by, I'll be round to repay the visit soon.

Happy WOYWW
