WOYWW 738

Hi deskers,  it's Wednesday again - the last one in July... WTH? (trying not to swear) Anyway, Wednesday, desk day. WOYWW day.

A slightly ore productive non desk this week.

but first, an anniversary atc and badge - a replacement, from beloved head desk girl Julia, as the original got lost in the post.

with a cute card.  which I seem to have photographed very badly!

thanks so much Julia!

Now, to my productivity...

I used the scraps I had left from the journal page 2 weeks ago and turned them into 2 cards.

I spent some time rummaging in a box of stamps for a greeting for the one on the left,  until I used a different one completely

I had to move a load of stuff from the top of the box (its the one behind my "desk" that has the basket full of more stuff sitting on top of it

to see what was inside.. I knew there'd be some text-y stamps in there and oh look, my peg stamps top right.   I wonder when I last opened this box!
this basket here...

and I made the start of another background with some of Seth's older stamps and a more purple-y colour way

Saturday was of course, Kew... another lovely visit
just one tempting photo as this has been a long enough post.

a gorgeous flowering cactus in the Princess of Wales conservatory.

Thanks for looking, happy WOYWW!

I think you have more stamps in that one box alone than I own. And I thought I had a LOT of stamps. I was only fooling myself. I really like both cards you created. That celebrate stamp seems quite useful. Happy WOYWW from # 1.

Fun post Your cards are such great colors, Do you pay more for a square card there? We have to, crazy rules. And I always wonder what happens to this "LOST" mail. It use to return to sender. Love the ATC Enjoy a great end of July...

Such a lovely load of found treasures! I can only imagine how much fun it would be to riffle thru your unopened boxes. Like you I know I have (mostly drawers) that haven't seen the light of day in a while. What are we like??
Happy WOYWW + Knitting day!

Hi Helen, wood mounted stamps....now how many of those have I got!!!! I find it difficult to let them go and have in fact used some just recently but I'm like you and have them packed away often forgotten. What are we like! Have a very happy woyww. Hugs, Angela x9x

Oh my word, that box of stamps makes me swoon...wood mounts are just the best, huh! It's true though isn't it, whatever type of stamp, I'm pretty sure the storage and access to them means that we only use the top 10% of what we own! Great use of scraps from the pages, I bet it didn't take you hours either! Love the Kew cactus 🌵 flowers.

Glad you’ve been having a good crafty time this week - I knew Julia would love those wood mounted stamps, they are so much nicer than the acrylic ones aren’t they? Lovely pics from Kew as always, hopefully it wasn’t too hot in the conservatory!

Hi Helen, they’re lovely cards. Your Kew photos are beautiful- the palms, those fluffy pink flowers and of course that stunning water lily pad.
Take care and happy WOYWW

I know the 'discovering' feeling well!!!
Great cards from your masterboard.
Loved that flowering cactus, all the photos actually as I lost mine earlier on in the year . . . nearly 20 years old and grown from seed bought in Vegas . . .one visit by a fox and poof! gone. he broke the pot and the repotting didn't work so I really, really enjoyed your photos. Thank you
Have a good week

I bet we are all guilty of having boxes of things we have long forgotten. I know I am. One day i will start to clear out - honestly.
Love the backgrounds you have done and the picture from Kew. How lovely to see those flowering cactus (as I saw in your post on FB.). This one is a beauty.

What a lovely activity....looking back through old boxes of stash. I've been doing a bit of that lately and doing my best to use some of it.

I am alwamazed when I open boxes and “find” stuff. It’s like having something new - I need better labelling 🤣. Happy WOYWW. Angela #12

Your flower photos are so beautiful and professional! What a great box of stamps, but it would drive me crazy having my stamps in a box like that! I'm sure you know what stamps you have and just where they are...Good to see you are having fun with the Sept Apter stamps! And I like the cards you made from last week's journal page scraps! Have a great week, Lindart #20

Glad you have had time for crafting. It's nice to delve into a box that you haven't looked in for ages - it's like getting a whole new load of stash! x x Jo

So glad you got your replacement "bus" oops sorry ATC from Julia. The same happened to me last year and I got a replacement as well. Ah - peg stamps, I did away with the cases for mine and have them all in a box on my desk, not being a stamper, I actually like using these. Really wish I was feeling better but sadly no even after a week - oh my. Hugs BJ#14

Happy Belated WOYWW. Some lovely creativity this week. I think we would all like to have a rummage through that box of stamps. I think I only have 2 or 3 stamp sets now, and in fact about to sell my box of inkpads, as I do not use them now. Going to keep my heat embossing supplies, as I might use that for Christmas crafting. ooh didn't realise there were anniversary badges (I still have my previous ones hanging on the side of my desk!). ooh you have been busy though (loving your Kew photos) and impressed those stamps are still on the wooden blocks. Must admit a few years ago I removed most of mine so they were easier to sort and store (in old VHS video boxes that charity shops tend to chuck away) BUT (and its a big but...) I still have most of the wooden blocks, but they are hidden elsewhere!! Well, they may come in useful some time (well, I did use one to make an allotment sign once!)
Thanks for visiting my desk already, running a bit late this week with return
