WOYWW 732

Welcome back to WOYWW - where we share our craft spaces with the world.

It's been another quiet week crafting - the weekend was too hot to do anything much and I never find the energy after work...

all I've done is stamp out the Paperartsy numbers stamps to see what they look like... I used water colour paper so it's a bit textured and the "1" was a bit iffy  but I do like them

the backdrop is my own "exploding box" Angela!!  a right mess and needs sorting out.   It's meant to be glues and things, but it's turned into a dumping ground!

I just went back and took a close up

the top row are in a distress oxide (purple)  and the rest in versafine clair (dark blue)

Saturday was of course Kew, and it was really hot (after weeks complaining about being cold!)  but stunning whilst I could stand the heat...
this is why I like getting there at 8am... the light is spectacular

and the poppies  in the wildflower bed weren't half bad either

I've got next week off work (can't wait) and of course the forecast is for showers  and light rain.  typical, I've not had any time off this year and the minute I do the weather changes.. hopefully it will change again and be dry!   I am hoping it won't be so bad as to keep me from going out for days.

anyhow, thanks for looking, I will be round to see what you've been up to soon.  Happy WOYWW

I love that stencil. I think that font is beautiful. I like the distress oxide, too. Sorry I didn't make it to Kew this week. No number yet.

Good grief, H. I have stencils on the brain, I guess. I had no idea they were stamps, but I still LOVE that font!

Hope you have a good week away from work. I'll try to catch up on Kew as I can.

Same here, I was thinking about going to the caravan next week - missed all the good weather being ill and now I can go the weather is due to change. Ah well, can't win them all.
Loving your numbers. Those are going to prove awfully useful - perfect for this months blog challenge on Art Journal Journey.
Have a good holiday.
Hugs, Neet 9 xx

Hi Helen, I love your exploding box! it makes me smile anyway Hee! Hee! If my theory works you should have nice weather next week as the GCSE exams are still on. It was always really hot while the children where doing their exams and we were all in the halls trying to cool the place down and as soon as they finished it would pour down with rain. Having said that I know some parts of the country have had rain but not here in Lincoln but it's been windy which has made it a bit more comfortable. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x7x

Yep, liking the numbers, even iffy and textured they are fab aren't they. And you're right about the early Kew starts, the light is amazing, those of us that value your photography really appreciate and admire your early starts!

Love the number stamps. I think we all have an exploding box on our desks 🤣. When stuff won’t stay in it is my call to empat least some of it. Happy WOYWW. Angela #11

Oh you and Angela are funny with your exploding boxes. I sort of have one but did sort it the other day. Love the poppies, we have red ones in the garden now too the petals are like tissue paper. Obviously I am longing for cooler times and rain so was quite surprised about next week's forecast you mentioned so had to have a chufty. Looks like the latter half of next week ought to be fine, reserve the former for crafting I'd say! Hugs BJ#10

You and Elizabeth have exploding boxes, I have an exploding table! When things start falling off, is when I try to tidy it up. I love those Paper Artsy number stamps. I have some similar ones, but no PA. Have a great week, Lindart #16

Hi Helen, thanks for the earlier visit, guests came early so nothing got done today!! I do like those stamps, they've got a lot going on. Good choice. I'm lovely early mornings this week - it's the freshest time of day, never mind the light! I didn't see that forecast - hopefully it will change again before your break. What are you doing - back to back Kew visits? Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx #13

Oh - those number stamps are great - may have to put them on my 'need' list!

Lovely photos from Kew - my Facebook is full of photos from the Australian Garden which is just down the road. Lovely but very different flowers!

Good morning, Helen.
I think it's true what they say about the weather anywhere - if you don't like the current weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change. We went from a very wet early spring to very cool and dry to all of a sudden it's dry and tornados were sparking everywhere last night (Thursday). None in my area, thank goodness.

I'm trying really hard not to have a 'dumping ground' on my filming table. We'll see how long it lasts LOL
