WOYWW 689

Welcome back for another WOYWW -I'm writing this on Tuesday evening where it has cooled down sufficiently to be wearing proper clothes!

Anyhow...

I cut out the faces from last week and added them to a journal page -  as usual it's a work in progress, I meant to finish it this evening but was watching Kew, a Year in Bloom on Channel 5

I've had an email from the production company to say I'll be included in the episode going out on 30th August (the orchid one)  eek!

It was hot as they promised at Kew last Saturday - pics here

(I left when it hit about 30 degrees around 11.30)

and as I mentioned I had another time slot at the Tower for Superbloom - as they have been talking about on social media, the heat has done for a lot of the flowers and there wasn't much left to see (unless like me you like seedheads!)  Pics of those here

the cosmos were good though, and the sunflowers

I left there when it hit 30 degrees too!  ....at 10.30 in the morning....

thanks for looking and happy WOYWW

What's all this about you being a TV star? Hope we get the programme up north and then I can see you - did you talk on it? That is/was my dad's birthday so I will remember and I have to have a blood test that day so will definitely be at home.
So glad it has cooled off somewhat, in fact it looks quite breezy outside. Not ventured out yet, just looked out of the window. A bit different to your Kew and Tower visits.
Take care, Hugs, Neet 3 xx

Oh now I'm going to HAVE to tune in the glimpse you on TV. The famous Helen @ Kew, how exciting... Paged through both your links and agree that you can find beauty in all states and the seed heads are lovely, all so different. Amazed you went out either day in the heat, I just can't hack it at all. Becoming a recluse, can't even sit for long in church due to the heat. Your circle page is going to be great, I love the striking colours. Happy WOYWW BJ#6

How exciting to see yourself on television - make sure you record it. 4 had a look at your Superbloom page, love that white flower. I was going to look at your July post, but the link took me me to my posts page 😳😳. Not quite believing it, I tried the link 3 times, each time the same. The weird and annoying world of blogger! Happy WOYWW. Angela #5

Just looking up "Year in Bloom" and it says 6 weeks from 19th July so I'm a bit confused as 30 August will be the 7th week. Did they skip a week somewhere? Anyway noted it is on Tuesday 8pm Ch5. BJ#6

And to think, I knew her when... LOL! It has been so long since I watched actual broadcast TV I will have to find out how to do it. I'll be sure to hunt it up. You are so good with your journal pages in progress. I think part of my problem is that I tend not to start unless I can finish. Maybe time to adjust my thinking...
Happy much cooler WOYWW

I am so far behind I may NEVER catch up. However, I am so delighted to read you will be on TV. And part of the orchid show makes it absolutely perfect.

Well, how exciting that you’re going to be on the telly, they certainly got the right person when it comes to being on a programme about Kew. Will try to set a reminder to watch it. Despite the weather breaking, it’s still pretty muggy here, but even so, I bet your commute is a deal more comfortable. Who knows, you might even find it change's your mood and you’ll get all prolific again, a work in progress journal page speaks of intent….!

How exciting to be on TV! Glad your heat is abating! We're finally cooling down a bit, too, but the storms are picking up. Had a real gully-washer last night and got a lot of rain! Thanks for popping by and have a wonderful week!

Get you being on TV, I will try and remember to watch that one. All your photos are so lovely, looked through both your trips. Nice that there is still so much colour about. I have had to abandon my own wild patch and cut it all back but I see some of it is making a comeback. Now we've had a bit of rain will be interesting to see what happens. It should be a bit cooler for you this weekend!! Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx
