WOYWW 674

 Happy May - Happy WOYWW

Last week I promised you new goodies - yes, Neet, of course it was Paperartsy!

I splurged on the whole of the new release from Tracy Scott,  more pattern making stamps, some fab stencils and some new Fresco paints

Tracy created some great patterns in her sketch book that she shared as part of the FB live on launch night and I had a play too at the weekend
some more successful than others  (but that is the point of the sketchbook, try them out, see how they work, before using them in a proper project)
to keep this post relatively short I'm just  sharing the ones I quite like
this is my favourite of the ones I've tried so far

Of course on Saturday I went to Kew -

pics  here

and of course, a teaser  - I'm addicted to the Strelitzia (bird of paradise)

and, I met an old friend.....

the Chinese Water Dragon,  not seen them around for a long time

thanks for looking,  happy WOYWW  and happy crafting.

This coming Saturday I'll be up at the craft of a sparrow's f*$5  at leaving for Kew at 6.15 as their member early 8am openings have started again.  Yay!!  it is so worth not enough sleep!

Ugh! Could not be up and out for 8 am if I tried. Still you must love your Kew.
I saw on FB that you had got the Tracy co9llection, she is one helluva talented woman is our T. Such good fun too and I am so pleased she has gone on to make a career from her art. I bought the flower stamp and an old stencil i had wanted for ages. SG are so good with deliveries.

Love the new stamps Helen and look forward to seeing how you use them as they are not something I would normally go for. Hope you get up in time for your early start and I'm sure it will be worth it. Happy woyww, Angela x11x

Oooh, I really love your new stash, those patterns float my boat big time! Your favourite reminds me of medieval floor tiles, gorgeous! Fab pics from Kew as always, the Chinese dragon is suitably inscrutable (that sounds like a good novel title!!)

Hi Helen, the stencils are lovely and it's interesting to see what can be done with them too. I've been over and looked at all your pics from Kew. I should be able to tell you the name of the blue flower as I have them growing in my garden but right this minute I just can't think. I did think that the second orchid looked like a wee pink animal sticking it's tongue out. It's probably just me! The dragon is super cute. Have a great WOYWW day. Hugs, x #9

I’m glad you think it’s worth lack of sleep. I’m happy to see iot all through your lens if it means avoiding that sort of early! Strelitzia remind me of my Mum so much, she was fascinated by them and loved them, so I do too, of course, although I say it’s because I need to live on the Med so I can garden accordingly! That is a big haul from the PA release, very nice indeed. No use for it, but I do like the big stencil, and much prefer the pattern building in a monotone, you see so much more than me in a stamp!

I was very tempted with those stamps, love the patterns you've made.
Strelitzias are one of my faves.
One of my daughters brought me one back from holiday - back in the day you could, I think it was one of those 18 to 30 holidays and she just qualified. She's 50+ now!!
I was devastated when it finally gave up the ghost.
Great to see the Dragon again.
Take care

Happy Belated WOYWW. I love that new collection and the paint colours are gorgeous. Although, as usual, I am not buying any new stash at the moment. Kew, early in the morning, must be very special. Ali x. #16

I am a bit late getting round to my WOYWW desks. Happy to swap ATCs when the time comes. I love that dragon - he has real attitude! Well done you on your dawn rising - I am a morning person but maybe not that early. Enjoy your day. xx Jo
