WOYWW 600

so we finally made it to week 600 - a huge number for this desk sharing blog hop.  All the information and link you need is here - the  stamping-ground  Julia will look after you!

I was reading Julia's post yesterday about WOYWW  and Robyn's comment about finding all the trades over the years.  Well, I've not done that but I have found :

one year we encouraged each other to incorporate the logo - I printed off the then badge from Julia's blog and it's still wrapped round a pen pot (well scissors and tools)

I also still have the easel Mr Dunnit made to help us display all our projects... mine lives on the table my tv sits on and yes, Julia I still have your note that came with it  - and some badges Julia's made us over the years.

So 11 and a bit years since I started,  and I am still crafting on the floor - yes, really, and yes, my knees and feet do suffer a bit for it but I've not got round to organising a  work desk yet... a bit like I haven't got round to tidying or re-organising my supplies!

 On my "desk" this week...

another journal page from the weekend - I needed a break from Christmas cards, didn't get as many made this weekend as last...

Still hooked on Dina Wakley products - have 2 separate orders I'm waiting for (I had hoped one may arrive on Tuesday but no doubt it will be Wednesday after this is posted so you'll have to wait for next week - or possibly Saturday!)

a wider view from the doorway. all a bit cramped but it's what I am used to!

on the top of the towering pile in the basket are my Christmas cards - a few different designs last time.

So that's me this week, I'll catch your desks soon as I can and to Julia - happy 600 and thanks for everything!

I didn't show the lovely wood piece that Mr. D made, but I have all the badges from over the years. You have a LOT going on this week. It's amazing how much stuff you have and use. I'm always in awe of your stash. No number, but I'll be around.

Strange you mention Dina - I have just come across a tag she made years ago on one of my trips to CHA and one I made under her direction.
Hope your goodies arrive soon and then you can play even more in that journal.

So nice you shared those woyww promo products, I do love the wooden block as I do your journal page, i'd struggle to get off the floor if I crafted on the floor but you create beautiful pieces that way. Fingers crossed on your new goodies arriving asap, i'm waiting on a little bit of an indulge myself.
Happy 600th WoywW hugs Tracey xx

Happy 600th WOYWW. Do you have the record for the number of No.1 spots here? Crafting on the floor would be impossible for me. Perhaps we should club together and get you a folding table (I have 4 in my craft room now - cheap but sturdy). You do create beautiful projects though, so it obviously helps you get inspired. Keep on crafting. Ali x. #15

Lovely post especially showing off the WOYWW keepsakes//swaps etc! So great to see how much it all means to us xx. Love the journal pages, great colours! It made me smile thinking about you on the floor crafting, I knew when you burst out laughing at the masking taped off square at the first Crop that we’d get on, lol!!

Beautiful journal pages! I love Dina's stuff too, cant wait to see your other orders. So do you sit cross legged on the floor? I don't think my knees would let me do that unfortunately. I love your crafty space, it makes me want to rummage through it all hahah
Happy WOYWW 600!!

Another great journal page I'm always so impressed that you keep this up as my journals are lucky to get a viewing hardly at all. I have been watching Dyan recently to try and get some encouragement though. I mean to do it and then get distracted but thinking of making one day a month compulsory journal day maybe starting in January, we'll see. Take care and have a very happy 600th woyww, Angela x19x

Hi Helen. 600 - what an achievement! Well done on still having that note... I have a cupboard filled with cards, notes and things people have sent to me over the years which I haven't wanted to throw away... something else to tidy at some point! It's good to "meet" you each week.
Take care. God bless

Oh Helen! I had forgotten you craft on the floor, it's all coming back to me now! I remember when we all tried to get the number 1 slot, I think I got it once, you probably a hundred times more! Love all your journal pages, you make amazing choices of colour every time! I have my wooden thingy and the badge and some of the ATC's and remember when we all made something to send to the blogger above us or below us? I still have that gift too. Its been an amazing time 'meeting' everyone here. Have a really fabulous 600th WOYWW, stay safe!

That journal page is gorgeous. I’m not sure I can lay my hands on my little easel at the moment...in order to tidy my desk for this week, there had to be some in the background dumping!! I love the long view of your workspace Helen, I think a single desk top won’t be enough when you finally raise it all....I’m going to recommend worktops on trestles!

I'm doing a quick whistle stop tour of all my fav blogs today. I'm in the middle of making two bears and an elephant so can't stop long today but I needed to pop by to say happy 600th celebrations to you and thank you for your friendship over the past 11+ years. Long may it last eh?
Stay safe and well.

A lovely post Helen, and so nice you've kept the badges and mementos. I love the mauvey pink pages - the flourish stencil is gorgeous. I have absolutely no idea how you manage to craft on the floor, my old knees and back simply wouldn't let me!
Hope you have a good week and Happy 600th anniversary!

Happy 600 to you too. My memory of you last year at the Crop was crawling about drying your journal pages with a hairdryer/heat gun!! See you on Saturday.

I rare wide angle shot of your creative space, Helen! Put a smile on my face! I've got stuff all over the floor too! Lovely to look back, isn't it? I went back to my earliest WOYWW posts too to reminisce. Funny how some people come and go, but there's a handful of core deskers that make WOYWW what it is! Happy #600th! Hope to see you on Saturday! xx zsuzsa #34

Helen, you do tickle me!! The floor!!! You are AMAZING!! I have to say, you win the gold star in my book for ALL THOSE YEARS on the floor!! I have a hard enough time getting up and down much less crafting for hours and then trying to get up.....really???? I would never make it!! But like you said, its what you are used to! Good on you friend! I love Dina Wakely goodies as well. Don't have near enough of them, but I do have all her books! She's great! Love that journal spread, the colors are fabulous! And, by the way, I LOVE your floor and alllllll those yummy products!! Good luck on the leaning tower of cards! LOLOL Blessings, Felicia, #39

HI Helen, happy Big 6-0-0!! I think working on the floor is a fabulous idea, except I'd struggle with the getting-back-up bit these days hehe. Love your journal page, beautiful painty effects xOx Annie C #35

Hi, Helen!
Looking at your page made me sad that I didn't find this group sooner! The memory pieces are beautiful and I just love the journal page!

Your space looks like a true artist zone. If I tried crafting on the floor, I would need assistance getting up! Kudos to you! :D)

I have decided that 2021 is the year that I try creating journal pages. I am sure I will find lots of inspiration here!

I still have all of my WOYWW bits from over the years and lots are in the album I finally sorted this year. (Apart from the photos I still haven't got round to sorting those out). Amazing how long this has been going (and amazing how long you've been on the floor!) Thanks for the laughs, the friendship, the swaps and the enabling. Long may it continue!! Happy 600th WOYWW, have a good week, stay well stay safe, Cindy xx #30

Hi Helen, it had never really sunk in that you do mean your floor when you say crafting on the floor! Not sure I would ever get up if I tried crafting on the floor! Hats off to you my lady for doing that for 11 years! Your journal pages are stunning as usual. Happy 600th WOYWW and have a lovely week, Heather xx #25

Hi Helen a happy 600th WOYWW to you. I find the floor a great place to work, but not for long as it not so comfortable any more. I like to use my big guillotine on the floor and it is the perfect place when you have run out of room on your desk 😀. Angela #42

Gorgeous page as always, Helen, and I love seeing your floor-desk! Rather you than me, though. I'd find it hard to get up again! Thank you for your visit, and you are absolutely right about who's in charge of the new furniture. They do graciously allow us to sit down sometimes but I foresee a time when we shall be reduced to sitting on the floor. The cat throw is coming along nicely. When I'm busy with loads of other things, I am still managing to make two or three squares per day so hopefully it will be done by Christmas! Good thing I only need about 5 hours' sleep a night, isn't it.

Happy WOYWW 600,

Great post! I love all the items from WOYWW through the years. Pretty cool! I completely understand crafting on the floor when there’s no room, but it would take a heck of a long time for me to get up. LOL. Maybe you should leave a pillow and blanket just in case. LOL. Have a fabulous rest of the week and happy 600 weeks! Dorlene #41

HI Helen! Looks like you have been very busy this week! I don't know how you can work on the floor, it's one of the reasons I had to give up teaching pre-school! Thanks for sharing, have a great week! I will be at the 5:30 zoom meeting on Saturday, so I hope to get to meet you! Lindart #40
