WOYWW 599

you know what they say,  blink! and it's Wednesday... time for WOYWW week 599  nearly time for our 600th celebration.

Don't know what WOYWW is?  where have you been!  Julia will tell you all about it here

So, desk sharing day.  A bit of a cobble together today...

Sunday I set to and made another batch of Christmas cards - quick and simple,  several of each to make them quicker still... and got 20 done in total so there is a reasonably satisfying pile...

(there were a few left over from last year, which helps!)

After all that industry it was time for play!
I added some more layers to the loose journal page I'd been playing with last week
which I managed to forget to photograph before I cut it to fit the journal!

the white circles are a Stencil Girl stencil I've had ages but never used before.
I added it to the journal with strong double sided tape and added some stamped images (Dina Wakley) stamped on tissue so they'd glue well to the pages

Obviously (or it wouldn't be me) it's not finished - needs some words of wisdom still

and finally - some enabling!

I liked the look of the new Distress ink colour so bought it in Oxide and Distress spray and yay!  crackle paint (would have got crackle paste too/instead of  but it was sold out)

and I couldn't resist a couple more of the Dina Wakley paints.

So, that's me this week... can't wait to see what you've all been up to, will come visit soon.

Hi Helen, mm busy in cards indeed funny thing is it’s easier to make cards than write in them! Or mostly it is.
Love that new green an dots on my wish list maybe one day, I did splurge and buy the speckled egg though and it’s I n my Christmas bag along with a 3D embossing folder. Another distress ink wish is the red brown one, aged mahogany .. yum.
Thanks for sharing, and God bless, Shaz in Oz.x

Well done on the Christmas cards! I’ve made a few this year but have no compunction in buying most of mine, lol!! Keep it simple is my motto these days, I can’t be bothered doing fussy or complicated. Your pages are great, looks like you had a lot of fun there ;-)

Morning Helen. Well done on the Christmas card front. I think I had only got about 2 left over from last year - so really was starting from zero this! I like those circles on your design - great fun.
Take care. God bless.

I e decided when it comes to paint, you have absolutely no will power. I want my will power to shift so that it’s the same....or on anything inedible really! I love the new page...do you know, I’m not sure I ever absorbed the idea that you made them on sheets and then stuck them into a journal. Also, the DW figures really look as if they’re ‘emerging’ from the page, not in a freaky 3d way, as if you’ve found them under your art and rubbed away to reveal. Make sense? Prolly not! ah well, I’ll just go and get another coffee and consider my vocabulary!

Well done on the pile of Christmas cards, I've not even thought about them yet. The pages are fabulous and those tissue images look perfect, just like they are emerging from the page. I hope you find the words soon to finish them off.
Have a great week,

Hi Helen, the cards are looking good, I usually try and do at least half a dozen of each design too, as you say, soon makes a good dent in the number needed. Journal page is off to a good start. Like the colours you've used. Snap on the Rustic Wilderness!. Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #10 X

A nice pile of cards - you must be so pleased! Lovely mixed media play as well. Almost like you were making up for the 'clean and simple'! I can do simple, but it never ends up being clean LOL! My grubby fingers everywhere! Have fun this week, Helen and see you again next week! xx zsuzsa #29

Always enjoy your mixed media play and cards. Less keen on how hard it is to resist all the lovely stuff you have on show. I keep saying it and I am sure it is true, I really MUST buy some Dina faces. Nothing I come up with has the same flair. I am a sheep. Baaaaaa.

:)

Happy WOYWW!

Hi Helen nice C cards. I've not done too well with mine but I'm sure I have some half made from last year which I can finish if I get desperate. Journal pages looking good too. Sending hugs and wishes for a happy woyww, Angela x17x

You have been busy, Helen! Lovely cards (cute penguins!) and as always, your page is stunning. I do love your subtle layers. The new distress colour looks interesting too.

Thank you for visiting - the furniture arrived at about 9.45 (earliest time was 7 a.m. so that's a horrendously early start for yours truly!). They were very efficient and we are now living in comfort again. We are very pleased with it. The box will soon fill up if I use it for my wools!

Happy WOYWW,
