Morning deskers... that was a super fast soggy week!
Once more it's Wednesday and time to share our crafty spaces with Julia...
I managed to use some of the new stencils although I made a bit of a hash on the first page...
but it's only paint on a page and there's always next time...the face is a piece of a previous purchase never used before, some of Dina Wakley's faces collage tissue.
I gave in and ordered some of Dina's new stamps from Art From the Heart and am waiting for them to send them ... hopefully will be hear for next week..
I spent a wet couple of hours at Kew on Saturday - in fact the rain wasn't as bad as I had expected (good job I didn't go Sunday.. a friend at work's husband was running the London virtual marathon in all that rain... )
but, even in the rain, Kew is beautiful! there is a new exhibition on called Paradise Lost by Dutch artist Jan Hendrix which I am going to spend more time exploring over the weeks to come..
I bought a scarf (I am addicted to Kew's scarves) as a souvenir...
I am so tempted to buy another and hang it on the wall!
I'll catch you up and see what you've been creating soon ..

I can see why you are tempted to hang the scarf on the wall Helen. It is beautiful. My sister was running the virtual marathon too! Hope the new stash arrives soon. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #?
Still loving that plume. Still not found my quilting template with a similar design. Oh well....
Love your pages. Any funnily enough the very first tourist spot we visited in the UK was Kew. Lost my pedometer down the loo there. Ah, good times... lol!
Happy Woyww!

That's a nice stencil and you have covered the mistake nicely with the addition of that face. Looks good on the second page and looks as if the pattern is a large one.
Sorry but I have looked and looked and cannot see the scarf unless it is a picture of a room in Kew. Maybe it's too early for me.
Hugs Neet 8 xx
Morning Helen, just popping in to say hello and I'm definitely not chatting about anything else!!

Well the plume stencil is working rather well, it looks great on the page! Love that scarf too, very smart and it would look great on the wall.
Hugs LLJ 11 xx
I love the pages - the flourish stencil is beautiful and I love the greeny yellow background, it looks very jungle-like! I shall pop over to look at Kew later as I like to take my time over that, but the exhibition looks very interesting and can't wait to hear more about it. I also love your scarf, and yes I can definitely see that on the wall - it would look stunning.
Hope you have great week,
Hugs, Diana xx #14
Hi Helen. That scarf is something else - no wonder you fancy buying another and hanging it on the wall - stunning! Hope you enjoy exploring that exhibition as you go to Kew over the next few weeks. The autumn leaf photo is lovely. The trees here aren't quite so full of autumn colour yet - soon, I expect! I like the flourish stencil - glad you are more pleased with your second effort.
Take care. God bless.

What a beautiful scarf!!
I have used some of Dina's faces - and lots of her collage tissue - love her stamps too!
That Kew phot of the rain on the leaf is just lovely!
Happy woyww! Susan #7
Hi Helen, such a lovely scarf! I would be tempted to have a way of displaying it too.
I love your ferny shapes.
Take care, stay safe and happy WOYWW!

Love the flourish stencil and the page you created using it. I can imagine Kew comes into its own a rainy day - especially if it stops raining by the time you walk around - I just love that fresh smell after the rain and a bit of drizzle is ok too. Some of my best memories of Cornwall were in the pouring rain! I didn't think so at the time but I look back on it fondly now LOL! You're right that scarf would make a wonderful wall hanging! Have fun this week, Helen! xx zsuzsa #22
Yesss get another scarf, they are stunning!
beautiful spreads, please share your stamp haul when they arrive.

Hi Helen. There is something about scarves and over the years I've collected loads, just make sure that where ever you hang it it's not in the sun or the pattern may fade. I have no objection to going out in the rain but glad we've not had it like parts of France, that's very scary. Have a lovely week and a happy woyww, Angela x16x
Hi Helen, yes, at the end of the day it is only paint/ink & paper. A fact I need to learn to remember, lol.THe Kew exhibition looks amazing, will look forward to more pics.Love the scarf, hanging one on a wall seems a great idea. Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 X
I went back to check my number and my comment had disappeared ☹️ Love your scarf, I couldn’t see it in the online Kew shop. Your second page turned out really well. I imagine Kew has magnificent Autumn foliage . Happy WOYWW Angela #25
Hi Helen! What a beautiful scarf! I don't blame you for wanting to hang it on the wall! Your stencil look great, I love that pattern. I have several DW stamps I've never used, I should use them! Have a great week, Lindart #28
The plume stencil is bold and striking - you do have fun with your "stash" don't you. Lovely scarf - I can see why you might like it on the wall. xx Jo
Helen, I love your play!! And I love that stencil. Some nifty projects could be done with that goodness! Can't wait to see what stamps you ordered! I so love your trips to Kew and the photos that follow! Really loving that leaf picture! Fall colors are my heart! :) Blessings to you and the rest of your week! Felicia, #27
Pages are both beautiful - even the first one!! That exhibition looks interesting and the scarf is gorgeous. Get another one!! Go on, you know you want to!! Thanks for stopping by, stay well, stay safe, Cindy #13

Well, I cant see the hash on the first page, what struck me is that the second page is very ‘less is more’ by comparison! That tissue paper face is erm, a bit ethereal...! Your ‘thing’ for Kew scarves makes me smile, we all have a collector of something inside us - at least your little treats are useful ones! Beautiful pics of rain at Kew this week.
Terrific pages and a new scarf ~ How nice ~ Enjoy! Love, Karen #33
The pages both look fab to me. I tried a hat on when up in Yorkshire - regret not buying it. Buy another scarf. Our eldest son ran the marathon - it was a good day weather wise( was awful on Saturday) Anne x 29
Hi Helen, there seems to be a problem with some stock getting to our little island, i'm waiting on some things but i'm told they have been delayed till mid October now. Hope yours arrives soon, love the page with the collage face, I too have never used mine, shameful it is. That scarf really is lovely, definitely treat yourself to another.. Have a great weekend & I hope the rain stays off for you. Hugs Tracey xx
Glad the second play worked. Thank you for your visit
Take care Lilian B #9
I really should get around to doing more stencilling, yours have given me the inspiration to have another go!
Thanks for your visit!

An autumn leaf so it’s on the way then Helen, love your second attempt with mask too, don’t use mine enough although have zero DNA Wakely. Really don’t need more stuff but bought Stamos this week too. Lovely scarf indeedy!
Lovely desky share sorry I’m late... again... 😁
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too, especially in these unusual times, a blessing to rest simply in Him! Praying you’re all kept well too!
Hugs, Shaz in Oz.x 😊

Love the layering of the face over the flourishes (even if you feel they were a hash) and the scarf really is sensational. Is it translucent? You should hang it in the window if so, not the wall!

I do love the subtle colours you choose for your artwork, Helen, and your most recent pages are just gorgeous with the swirly stencil. What an absolutely fabulous sculpture, and the scarf too! I love the photo of the red leaf with the dew drops on it. Thank you for your visit and for your kind words - I can't believe I looked as I did a few years ago! These days, it hardly seems possible! Looking back, it hasn't been that hard to do either, especially latterly when I haven't had to worry about calorie counting or portion control! "Eat more, weigh less" - who knew?! Thank you for what you said about my tiny carpets too. I'm now trying to make up the needle books and to be honest, struggling a bit, but hopefully all will be done by Monday, and I'll have some photos for next WOYWW!
Happy belated WOYWW,

What a stunning scarf, Helen. I can quite see why you are thinking of hanging it on your wall - it's too beautiful to hide away. Hugs, Elizabeth x #26
