WOYWW 558

It's enabling time again - head to the Stamping-Ground where Julia has the link for the desks to visit.

so, the enabling -  some new releases from Paperartsy that arrived in a little over 24 hours from  Stampers Grove in Scotland.
First time I've used them, very impressive!

stamped the images out - then noticed some of the sheets of card have creases in them (they're from the middle of a pack so must have been a fault somewhere in production)

I need to buy some more card, I'm running out - I am thinking (weather and trains permitting) of going to the Stamperama craft show on Sunday in Stevenage.

(edit.  have seen the weather forecast, Storm Dennis on the way... and trains...  don't talk about trains.. may revise that plan to go!)

In the meantime I should be turning some of these images into 2 birthday cards I need for my SIL and niece at the weekend....stand by for live-crafting!

I did have time to do some stencilling before I went to work this morning (Tuesday, prepping this post as usual )

used Fresco paints..

next step for the live crafting at time of writing is some JoFY stamps from an earlier release (not sure when exactly but they haven't made it into the JoFY  box yet...)

Now, what colour shall we use.

yellow and orange to go with the paint in the background

(stabilo felt tipped pens)

one down, one to go... that will be tomorrow now

Happy WOYWW !

(Julia is up and running early, so linking tonight)

forgot the link to Kew from last weekend - orchid time!

How on earth do you find time to use all these new stamp sets you buy? I see you have bought one of the mouse ones like I got given on Saturday. Watch out for my book, hopefully next week, featuring them.
Just wondering what you are doing with all those images you have stamped, are they for recording purposes or do you cut each image carefully out (like me with my figures) and use them in journals etc?
Looking forward to seeing those Lynne Perella stamps in use.
Hugs, Neet 9 xx

Hi Helen, love the Jofy images, great aren't they. Well done on keeping up the Enabling- it's a dirty job but someone has to do it. Lol. The new PA stamps look fab, and how annoying about the cardstock. Stampers Grove do have a really good reputation, obviously well deserved. Definitely avoid the trains, I think, I saw a lot of FB comments about trains last weekend in the storm. I can recommend Papermill Direct for cardstock, if you buy it online. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #1 X

I'm doing a whistle stop tour of all my favourite desks before I make my next Memory bear [and this one is for a very special little girl to take to her new adoptive home...what lovely jobs eh?].
It's always lovely to see how you build everything up and I really love the results you get.

I was unintentionally up early, I don’t mind telling you! We have a boiler service going on as I speak and we had to switch the heating off two hours prior to his arrival...and I wanted a shower and clothes before he forced me to do it all without heating. Just being a whining girly! The enabling is masterful...as with a lot of Paper Artsy stuff, I shall wait for you to use some of those stamps before I decide on them. No doubt with the stencil and JOfy stamps for that card though, absolutely lovely. I am mostly super impressed that you get up early enough to do anything other than get ready for work Helen.. I don’t really mind an early start but don’t think I could contemplate all that you do first thing!

Morning Helen, your card shows us just how we can mix the old and the new, beautiful make. I'm really trying hard not to buy any more stamps at the moment but when I see your newest it's hard to resist. I really do need to put ink to some that have never made it out the packet..
Happy WoywW Tracey xx
P.S James of Stampers Grove is a lovely man, I've chatted to him a few times at the NEC.

I absolutely love Stampers Grove. I see them often at Doncaster and the NEC. James the owner is so lovely and generous too, lets say with his regular customers that was who gave me the Brusho Sprinkles to try. They took over the space that Paper Artsy used to have at the Doncaster Dome and stock loys of their stuff. Hope we get to see the finished cards. Loving the Jofy stamped images too, gorgeous. Love that stencil, they look just like crocuses (crocusi?) anyway, what a lovely fresh reminder that Spring is on the way!

Lovely post this week - the new stamps are fabulous and I'm completely taken with the glass dome and butterflies under it - the enabling is working I fear!
I love the stenciling too, and such pretty Spring colours.

Great stamps, Helen - the glass jars are most intriguing - nice vintage look. Your stencilled and stamped page is absolutely gorgeous - I love the contrast between the stencilling and the bold black of the stamps - nice seed heads! Great colour scheme, too. Thank you for your visit - yes, when resting, I do try and do a bit if I've got the energy, and drawing etc. is easy on a lap tray. I love my Kaffe Fasset books too - I need to get them out every now and then so I can stroke them!!

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Helen, my absence from crafting also resulted in an absence from craft shopping, so I haven't bought anything crafty this year! I wonder how long I can go before I indulge? Not long if you and Shaz keep enabling! I have lots to save for this year, so am trying to be good, but .... who knows! I like the look of the hare stamps but I would get stuck with what to use them for. I really am not at all creative - I always have to look at others for inspiration. Have a lovely week, hugs Heather xx #33

Fabulous new stamp choices - those bunnies look great stamped out. You already know I'm envious of the LPs - the glass bottles are stunning. Love your floral card - pretty springtime colours and really fresh. Great words too.
