WOYWW 559

So, once again it's time  to share What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday... (WOYWW)  head to Julia's for the link and all the goss.
When I was making the birthday card I showed you last week I scraped the spare paint onto my journal page (only a couple of pages left, now)
I wanted to use some of my new stamps from last week too,

I used the grid stencil and stamped the Zini running man (girl?)  twice and cut it out...

I had meant to find some fun quote or words to go with it, but not done so yet...

so as ever, it's not finished!

I didn't got to the stamp show in  Stevenage on Sunday, the forecast put me off, although in hindsight it wouldn't have been too bad - hopefully you've all survived undamaged.
Lots of our desk family live in the affected areas, so I hope you're all safe and sound

I did go to Kew on Saturday, and was home before the weather really turned - it did rain on me a bit, but nothing too bad - pics here
but a couple to pique your interest

I'm off now to find some desks with much more interesting things to see!

I'm sure the weather spoiled a lot of plans over the last couple of weeks but glad you got to go to Kew, Helen. That's somewhere I'd love to get too, it looks amazing.

You'll just have to find some other way of spending your cash though I don't think you'll have much of a problem with that! The weather has been up and down here but considering how low we are here we've not suffered much in the way of flooding thank goodness! I have this nightmare of waking up and seeing the pond fish swimming around the garden. Wishing you have a very happy woyww. Angela x15x

I didn't leave the house over the weekend, it was too crazy here. At least you had some crafting time instead...I think we all did! The running people make for a fun LO!

HI Helen, the garden shots are fabulous. you know, I have the idea that journal pages are really never finished that people go back to them and add more later as things occur to them. ( I don't actually make them so, its just what I thought happened) ~Stacy #23

Hi Helen, yes, the weather has been atrocious here and the forecast is for more of the same but we've been lucky - though in spate, our river hasn't burst it's banks yet. I always enjoy your visits to Kew - makes me think I should visit the greenhouse we have here much more often. Love the Zini running person - great fun. Take care and stay safe. Hi Helen, sorry you didn't get to the stamp show - I only nipped out to choose a carpet, the weather was too wild to go out really. Love the figure on the journal page. Have a lovely week Heather xx #26

Perhaps there will be a good reason come to light as to why you didn't make it to Stevenage in the near future. It would only have tempted you further.
Glad you make use of your left over paint, something I always forget to do. I just bin it when it would make for a great addition to an otherwise blank page.
Hugs, Neet 10 xx

Happy WOYWW. These storms have been awful. We don’t get any flooding on the farm thankfully. The scenes on the tv have been really upsetting. Ali x #13

Love your journal page, Helen, it's quirky and fun, and as usual I love the colours! The Kew pics are great, too. Thank you for your visit. I tried my new clear gesso today and while it's not as gritty as the original lot, it still needs a bit of sanding in order to be smooth enough not to damage the Tombow nibs. I'm working on colouring some drawings now, and hope to have some results ready for next week - plenty of experimenting going on! Thank you for your good wishes for my appointment.

Happy WOYWW,

Great journal page, I can think of a couple of lines to go with that..like "it isn't where you come from, it's where you're going that counts!" I like the lines on the page too, it gives action to the figures!
That flower pic is gorgeous, have you ever noticed that a lot of flowers look just like...hmmm! Thanks for your visit, and have a great week, Lindart #24

that stamp is brilliant, not seen that one before.
Been loving your Kew photos, must admit almost messaged you 2 weeks ago when we were in London to see if we could meet up there-then the storm hit and then the rain so I chickened out! Next time.

How satisfying to be almost at the end of a completed journal. I always start pages in so many different books in different sizes and formats that I'm miles from completing any of them! I love your running Zinskis - the grid makes a brilliant background. Gorgeous Kew photos... I'm going to have to do my Kew catch-up another day. Maybe Saturday, while you're at the actual Kew!
