WOYWW 560

well the weeks are flying by and it's week 560 of this fun Wednesday desk share... Julia is our host as always- at the Stamping-Ground

I've been playing in the journal again - only a couple of pages left then I can break out a new one..
scraped some paint with an old credit card, stencilled a pattern and doodled round the shapes then layered one of the Lynne Perella stamps I had stamped out a couple of weeks ago.

Once again (recurring theme!) I haven't found the words yet... I always like words on my pages - but pausing for thought!

My old friend was back at Kew (but in a different place) on Saturday
you can see more photos here
Hoping you all have a fun-filled Wednesday. Happy desk day!

But you've got some script on there, maybe that can act as your words while you ponder on it.. Great journal page, makes me want to get painty right now but like Julia i'm poised with the duster :/ Happy WoywW Hugs Tracey #7 x

A lovely page, Helen. As usual I love your choice of colours, and the vertical focal point is great. What a nice little iguana! Does he wander around freely or does he live in one of the greenhouses?

Oh you have the words somewhere in your stash - am admiring the fact that you can wait for inspiration...I know I’d be too keen to consider it finished..specially as a new book awaits! The stencil looks fab on the page.

Hi Helen,Better to give the words a bit of thought, than add something and later think of something you like better. Love how you made the background.Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X

Great journal page and your 'friend' is rather like the ones we saw on holiday last year, they move pretty fast, unlike some of our boys the other night, but right result at least.

Wow, what a stunning page! I know what you mean about words - I like words on pages and cannot find any to put on my little book (of the other week - the birdie one). Let's hope we both find inspiration soon.
Love the colours you used and the stencil is gorgeous - do you mind telling me what the stencil is please?
Hugs, Neet xx

I like text on pages as well - in fact I like it when deskers label their photos, I just find it fascinating. Nice journal page, hope the inspiration strikes soon!

great looking journal page! Like your friend from Kew! Isn't it cold for them to be out or is he in a greenhouse? Did I tell you my husband's great-great Grandfather...or something like that..was a gardener at Kew Gardens? He immigrated to the US in 1850 when he was let go cause he couldn't remember the Latin names of the plants. I guess he showed up with an attitude to show them the what for cause he was the superintendent of Lindenwood Gardens from 1859 till he died. We found out from Kew Gardens personnel that his grandfathers records were there showing he was a hard worker and well liked just didn't know Latin!
Hope you have a great week and can find words for your page. Vickie #25

Hi Helen - the word that came to my mind looking at the journal page was "Nostalgia"! The colours are really beautiful - very soft and romantic.
How lovely to encounter your old friend at Kew. He is a handsome chap indeed. Have a great week.

I think that it sounds very smart to wait to add the thought to the art until the right one grabs you by the throat. Holy moly that is a big guy, I am thinking esp. for how far up from the equator you are. ~Stacy #22
