WOYWW 554

Well that week flew by... again!  Once more we find ourselves joining the Wednesday gang for WOYWW  with Julia
I had good intentions to do some crafting this week... well, I did a teeny, tiny little bit at the weekend

I added a bit more to the latest journal pages that I have on the go

I blocked out a bit of the background with one of the new Fresco paints so my images would stand out a bit

stamps on this page are all by Dina Wakley and I've kept all the colours similar to the background to avoid too much
then to this page I've just added some washi tape (Jane Davenport)

then I got stuck!
but seeing as it's been sat with just the first layer since before Christmas, what harm is a few more days (weeks)....

I'd say come back and check it out  next week... well we'll see!  I've got a couple of birthday cards to make so need to get a crack on!

Last week's Kew's visit is here  and there were lots of
and
but I am hoping for some sunshine next weekend!  (I've seen the forecast, so I might be lucky!)

Happy WOYWDW

Lovely to see how your jounal pages are coming along but its really annoying when you get a block and know you want to do more but its just does not appea Good luck with it,

If my journal pages were like yours (rather than like my Dylusion ones I mean) then I would certainly put them to bed and then revisit and do a bit more. Sounds like lots of fun to me - and what a great way to build up pages.

I’ve not done journal backgrounds for a long time. Think I’ll put it on my list of things to do in 2020
Have a good week Helen

Isn’t that the beauty of creating a journal or any other thing for yourself? it can just wait.....oh my, how I need a deadline otherwise!!
That washi tape is great...disconcerting even!!

Some of my journal pages take months to finish as I wait for inspiration to hit me! Yours are looking great so far!

One day you'll think 'now I just feel like doing something to that journal page' and off you'll go! If I don't feel like doing something, I won't cos if you force yourself, it never turns out right!

Hi Helen, nice pages and they definitely will not suffer from the wait. I'm currently working with pieces I have had tucked away for years. The photo of the lizard is fab - such a cute wee face. We've just come through Storm Brenda and it's still very windy but we are hoping for an improvement for us all at the weekend as forecast. Hugs, Elizabeth x #18

How lucky you are that Saturdays = Kew and thank you for sharing your photos. The water dragons are amazing. No wonder you couldn't stop taking photos! The journal pages are coming along very nicely - sometimes it's good to leave things for a while and come back to them with fresh eyes. Look forward to seeing the finished results!

Those Dina silhouettes are really amazing - they have such presence to them. Loving the layers in this page. The washi tape eyes are slightly spooking me, I have to say - suddenly those inky red splotches are starting to look a little bloody... I worry about what's been happening here!!

Looking forward to catching up with last week's Kew visit, even as you must be in the middle of this week's as I write! I hope you've got the same unexpected burst of sunshine as we've got here north of London.
