WOYWW 523

Welcome, to another WOYWW  - that week really did whizz by!   No sooner one Wednesday than another.. heading back to Julia's again
Today I am sharing some journal pages I started at crop and had time to add to at the weekend.

First up,
I added some more die cut wildflowers and then die cut some words (testing out the die I got a few weeks ago)
took a few goes to get right as the card I was using is very thick
next up, I gesso'd the background to knock it back and used some texture paste through a dotty stencil.

added the die cut butterflies that I'd made from scraps of masterboard

stamped out the words (I have a stamp that says this but wanted a bigger font)
 close up of the texture
and finally (to borrow an enabler phrase)

Paperartsy launched a few new sets of stamps last week and you know how much I love JoFY flowers and stencils..

they came in super-quick time from Country View Crafts though I have yet to ink them up!

if the angle of the photo looks odd, that's because I've rotated it to see the images properly, for some reason I took it on the horizonatal!

oh no, there is another "and finally"

a completely staged shot (given that the mug is empty)  of my raffle prize mega-mug (it holds a lot of tea and weighs quite a bit when full too!) and another journal page (using the Inkylicious planets stamps I got in the raffle)
I would never normally rest a mug on my journal!!
That's your lot, apart of course from the Kew link - despite the forecast I did stay largely dry!

Isn't it weird being so far down the list Helen lol? Love the finished journal pages. Those die cut words are perfect! Glad you managed to stay dry at Kew. Happy WOYWW Sarah #7.

Just love your journal pages. Next time I am going to watch you creating at the crop. You do some beautiful work Helen.
When you produce pages like you do it is worth the spend on PaperArtsy stamps. Looking forward to your next pages with those lovely new stamps.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Love the harmonizing colours on your pages - I have those wildflower dies as well - some of my current favourites. The textures on the butterfly page look really cool! That journal is almost full - perhaps a flip-through when it's ready? I think we would all enjoy that! Well done for braving the elements at Kew's on Saturday. zsuzsa #20

Hi Helen, great journal pages, and your final and finally made me laugh for two reasons. I put the Planets stamp in the raffle, lol. I'd spotted it's launch on FB back last year, and ordered it. Unknown to me, Hubby had also spotted it, and ordered it to add to his Christmas Pressie collection.Yep, I got into trouble for ordering stuff, lol. Love the JoFY flowers, they're fab. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #10 X

Those journal pages are so lovely. I must learn to be more ambitious with mine. Love the big mug too, looks just my size. I was gutted that my large mug at work was accidentally broken by the cleaner and I am on the hunt for a new one! Happy WOYWW. Love & God Bless, Caro x(#19)

Love your journal pages! Great color coordinating and texture!
Pretty cool stamps and stencils! I keep forgetting to use mine with modeling paste (which is probably quite dry by now).
Beautiful mug and space page.
Thanks for popping by and have a wonderful week!

Those journal pages are looking a treat and I do like how you have incorporated words. Those die cuts can be tricky when there are a lot of letters.

That mug is lovely! And sometimes the effect of coffee/tea rings from a cup placed on a journal can be quite nice! Nice haul, like the stencils!Your journal pages are lovely, I love the wildflower die cuts, must get me some! Thanks for your earlier visit, have a great week! Lindart #30

Your pages are just gorgeous, Helen. I love the soft subtle colours and the texture. Beautiful! Nice mug, too! Thank you for your visit and for your good wishes. I'm feeling a bit better today and did some cooking and managed to shave the top off one of my fingernails with one of my lethal new kitchen knives... it was only a matter of time! It's going to take ages to grow back and it's painful and inconvenient having a dressing on it. Never rains but it pours!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Very happy I caught up with these pages... both the flowers and the butterflies make me very happy! Almost as good as being out in the garden (which I'm not, given I'm having a hayfever revival this year... bah humbug!).
