It's time to welcome you to my crafty space for another Wednesday's WOYWW only there isn't very much going on... so this is a bit of a staged post today.
I was wondering what to share with you today (and if I am brave enough in a minute I will share something really scary)
I've had a new stencil sat on top of some new stamps waiting to be inked (I don't usually put my new Paperartsy stamps away in the boxes until I've used them)
Whilst I summon up the courage to share the picture of shame.. I took the stencil out and tested it out
I started on the piece of patterned paper under the journal to start with, but it was too patterned to show off the stencil
so I grabbed a matte spray (by That's Crafty) in aqua, and opened the journal. If I had been thinking I'd have used a double page so I could have 'reverse printed' the image rather than wipe off the stencil.
I quite like the aqua spray though!
ok am I brave enough.. You've seen pictures of my craft space (living room, don't forget) which is - er... full...
here is the "overflow" (dining room or second bedroom depending on your needs... don't even go there!)
it's become a bit of a dumping ground (I wonder what the window cleaners think when they come.. I only think this on the day - today- when they do come - they've just collected their money) (writing this Tuesday night as usual)
the table - that IS a table there, top centre... is full of books that won't fit in bookcases - apart from the front edge which has piles of craft stuff... bear in mind all that craft stuff on the floor was once in the living room .... I do intend to go through the stuff in here... I might even read the pile of magazines (bottom centre) - they are craft magazines, mostly Stampington ones - I don't buy normal magazines.
So, the overflow room of shame... my shame.. Do you dare show yours? Head to Julia's for the details
Shall we finish with something pretty to make us feel happy?
from Kew (here) on Saturday
there was a huge display of crocuses, they were stunning.

Heehee, we've all been there, Helen, sometimes you just need a place for 'stuff' to go to... There is no shame in it :)
Happy WOYWW!

I think every home has a dumping ground somewhere Helen even if it is only a drawer or cupboard. I expect the window cleaner has seen far worse lol. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5
Ok Helen You dared show your room so I will show mine when I write my blog. Which one is best or worse? Ani
I’m chuckling Helen because our “office” looks just the same. Glad it’s not just me. I’ve been watching a programme about cleaners going into houses that are rammed with stuff in every room, at least we can move about in our other rooms can’t we heehee

I think we all that "THAT" space somewhere. I keep my Stampington forever and hated that they cut back so much on all the publications. So now I have references at my fingertips !! I love your new stencil and it turned out great. Never tried spray on them. Thanks for the idea. My area of "stuff" happened when we cleaned out his dad's place and my parents 3 story home. I moved to a much smaller place when I remarried and there is no extra room, 2 closets, and all most no wall space. Little by little I've been able to donate and part with things, but it takes time.
Dopey me, just closed out without publishing! Sometimes I wonder where my brains are!!
Love the purple in that tulip, unbelievable really, and yes we’ve all those piles of things we keep just in case... cos one day we will need them. Happy WOYWW and love the masked blue too, Shaz in Oz.x. #4
Oh wow, look at the colour of that crocus - just glorious. There's a bulb website that keeps showing me ads on FB, all lush pics of dark purple dahlias and ranunculus, so tempted! The room of shame is something else - but do you know where verything is?

I thought I had a lot of stuff but Helen, you certainly beat me. You seem to have lots of scrap book papers in pads at the forefront and I love the little owl in the box in the centre. I'd love to come over and have a rummage - in both rooms - imagine I could find lots of things I would want.
The crocus is beautiful.
Hugs, Neet xx
Hi Helen, sorry, I'm laughing here! Love the room of shame! It's just a bigger version of my' I'll just put them here and do it later'! Then it takes hours, if not days to deal with, lol. Thats a lovely colour, and a great stencil too. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #15 X
Helen you certainly have a lot of stuff, haven't we all, ha,ha, luckily I have a dedicated room.
I think the window cleaner probably sees worse sights than your room!
A beautiful colour Tulip, pity they never last very long if its windy.
Enjoy your week

I think your picture has more stuff than my room... Not. I just recently cleaned my floor so I could use my room. LOL! Gorgous crocus!!
Have a great week!

Hi Helen, absolutely its called a closet here though ( and it is filled floor to roof and it slants down so, I have to duck to walk through the doorway and right now there are piles on the floor in front of the shelves. ( I think you can see that from the stamp shots lately) but, I am going through this as I un-mount stamps so, the hope is some of it will get off the floor and on the shelves and then some will just have to go.

It’s always helpful to see that others have a room of shame, I have spent a lot of time emptying mine and bringing order. Now there’s just the cupboard under the stairs to go but I’m not wholly responsible for all of that! I simply cannot live in a minimal state!!
Love the crocus pic, without my glasses I thought it was a hair do, dyed bob!!
Hi Helen, I like the aqua too and you've reminded me that I have a couple of new stencils that I need to try out. Unlike you, I put new stuff away so it often gets neglected/forgotten. So it's just as well that I don't have a 'room of shame', just a few black holes in this craft room. I reckon you'd have more than a few volunteers to help sort it out but what would you need with a dining room or spare bedroom anyway!!! The photo of the crocus is gorgeous. Have a great week. Love the colour of the crocus you've shared. Thankfully I have to share my creative space with my customers so I can never let it get too cluttered. Our spare bedroom is a bit of a store room but even that has to be used by Theo each Tuesday so that cant get too bad either.
Hugs,

Hi Helen, the aqua is very pretty and I really like the stencils. As I look at your overflow my hands are itching to get in amongst it all with my label maker! I think I'm addicted to it but I would never know where to find anything in my workroom without sticking labels on it all otherwise!
Have a great week and I love the crocus - mine aren't out yet but I don't think it will be that long now.

Give me six days and I'll have that room cleaned, everything marked AND a map showing where you can find all your items. Then, if there was room, I would integrate it into your living room/craft room. Of course, you would have to feed me and give me tons of French Roast coffee, too!!!!!
Don't you go thinking you're the only one that has a room like that. I am working on clearing some stuff however it's slow going but my friend's daughter has recently starting crafting and I'm passing stuff to her, slowly so she doesn't realise how much she's getting Lol! Have a great woyww, Angela x13x
Hi Helen, now if I had posted a shot of my untidy desk, it would have been relegated to second place after your photo! As others have said,it would be great to have a rummage, I'm sure you've all sorts of goodies in there! The crocus colour is perfect. My favourite colour is purple. Thanks for stopping by earlier, and have a lovely week Heather x #17
Hi Helen, I like the page.
I'd have to sit on my hands if I visited you, otherwise I'd be in there sorting it out:) LOL
Love the colour of the flower.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Happy WOYWW

I was thinking of decluttering and re-organizing my atelier the other day but seeing this... mine can wait a little longer, ha! Don't be ashames sweetie, we all have our 'things' and your room is nothing to be ashamed off... I would, however, love to help you out and 'nose around' in all those boxes! Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday, have a great day. Love from Holland, Marit #16
The aqua spray is a really pretty colour - as is that lovely flower head from Kew. I'm not ignoring the bit in the middle, honest... I'm only too sympathetic, as I'm going to have to deal with exactly that kind of overflow from my storage container when I move later this year (mostly books and bits and bobs of furniture and household stuff, rather than crafting stuff - that's all crammed into the craft room, but in a way which is making it harder and harder to actually craft in there). My day of reckoning is coming soon!

You can't go wrong with that gorgeous aqua colour!
I did a bit of clearing out in my craft room recently, only to add three guinea pigs, in two cages! Lol!
That bloom is stunning, and a great finale to your post.
Hope you're having a good week. I'm tempted by Stevenage this weekend, are you going Helen?

Oh my . . .my room has looked like that before too! I think it's time for Marie Kondo? So nice to see a beautiful tulip with the snow on the ground outside! Can't wait for Spring, and neither can the kitties. Yes the stamp is Magenta, one of my earlier stamps, and one of my favourites! Thanks for your visit, sorry I'm late - work Wednesday, & bed rest yesterday, so that I can work today! Have a great week, Lindart #25
You are lucky to have a window cleaner. The ones round here cannot reach the back bedroom Windows, due to the conservatory and sloping roof, and will not attempt the front due to sloping ground. xxx Maggie =22
We are birds of a feather here. So many crafty options there. I'll show you all my areas next week in quick photo shots so you won't feel so bad. LOL Hugs and Creative Blessings!
Happy Very Belated WOYWW. I love your new stencil and the colour you used. Dining room/dumping room. I would very much like to come and sort that out for you! Of course you know that you have far too much stash/general stuff in your home/life. However, it is your personal choice. I was heading in that direction, but stopped my purchasing. I still watch the craft programmes on tv and look around the craft shop when I am there for workshops, but rarely actually want to buy anything. The hardest thing to part with was my magazine collection (have kept a small box of them) and stencils (even though I hadn't used a lot of them!). Ali x #26
