WOYWW 502

Time for another Wednesday desk hop - WOYWW 502 with Julia  - share your space, why don't you?

It is the time of new product launches with the trade shows and people are enabling me (so it is only fair to pass it on to you lot!)
I only had a quick look at the new Sizzix range from Tim Holtz but some of the dies were available to order and despatched on 7th

butterflies... who can resist

I got a good deal on this one but my mate who alerted me to where i got them missed out and they're out of stock now
I started the weekend with good intentions of crafting... but then came down with a heavy cold and have a sore throat... have spent the last couple of nights waking regularly coughing which is a right pain!

off my food, can't taste a thing,  haven't eaten much for a couple of days (I know they said feed a cold, starve a fever, but I can't force myself!)

so the journal page I was playing with hasn't got far...

but I did test out the butterflies!

I have inked up the hearts from last week too but they are on the previous page and I forgot to take a photo!
So far I have managed to keep working (sharing the germs around, I'm nice like that!)  so will check out your desks later on - don't worry, i won't breathe all over you lot!

Hope you are feeling better soon Helen, that cough is so annoying isn't it. You have done well to carry on working. I am studiously avoiding all viewings of Tim's new releases although I did buy some Clarity dies yesterday (20%off the ones I wanted it would have been rude not to lol). Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2

Must say I did not see anything in his previews that made me want to rush out and buy. How's that? Maybe I am not well. I too am not eating like normal but am not losing any weight because I am making up for it in dry cream crackers. That is all I want to eat these days. Strange but true.
Hope your cold soon clears, I think you should have a day in bed and see if it goes.
Happy spending.
Hugs Neet 4 xx

Hi Helen, hope you feel better soon. I'm wondering where you got your butterfly from. I have some of the dies on order though not the butterflies and some of them may arrive soon. I know they went out of stock fairly quickly. Take care and hope it's a happy woyww for you. Hugs, Angela x10x

Thanks for your visit this morning, Helen. The mix up was down to trying to link in while still in bed, half asleep and with no glasses on. I hope that nasty cold goes away very soon. My remedy is hot lemon, Honey and chopped ginger. One lemon and a chunk of chopped ginger will last all day. You just need to add hot water and a spoonful of honey (ideally locally produced) and you can just keep drinking that all day. xx Maggie #1 or #7

Ooh I love the butterflies, and like you I find it hard to resist a butterfly or moth. I haven't looked at any new releases yet as I don't need the temptation! I hope you get over your nasty bug soon - keep warm and cosy,

Hi Helen, been watching the previews too. Do love that Butterfly die. Well done getting a good deal. That bug is clearly doing the rounds, Doug has had it for a week now, luckily I've so far managed to avoid catching it off him. That didn't go well last time. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X

Morning Helen. Sorry you are feeling so very rough - trust recovery will soon take place! I'm not posting this week as I am in a post-op recovery state myself, and don't have a functioning grey cell in my body!!
Take care. God bless.

The butterflies look awesome! I will have to look out for that die when it comes here. By the way are you sure it's "feed a cold and starve a fever" and not the other way around? Ha ha, we always argue about that! Hope you feel better soon and can eat again! Have a great week, Lindart #31

Hi Helen, Sorry you have a cold. They can make you feel so miserable. Sending heaps of positive healing thoughts and hugs (((Helen))).

The butterfly dies look lovely. What a shame your friend lost out. Maybe they will get more in stock.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Oh you poor thing, I hate carrying around a cold. I think I’m that person...the one who can resist a butterfly, I’ve got a couple of stamps and a die, but I rarely use them and I don’t gravitate toward butterfly printed anything. Weird, because I always really like the look of anything that other people do with a butterfly image. The journal will keep, expect after work you just feel like sleeping...get well soon. You seriously need to eat something Gal, you’ll be fading away.

I wish I have could 'starve the cold' last month... I had a bad cold but kept on eating while I could do with some weightloss *sigh* I hope you feel better soon so you can fully go for crafting with the butterflies! Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day, enjoy your week! Marit #22

Good afternoon,
Haven't been on here for a long time, thought I would have a nosey as you do! Love the butterflies, but bought the little animals with the box from sizzix. Just in time for Easter lol.
Do hope you feel better soon. I was feeling a bit sick and lightheaded yesterday, so went to bed for a couple of hours. I get these dizzy spells now and then, the doctor advised me to take kwells and they actually do work. Your journal looks lovely.
Kind regards Jo. xx.

Hi Helen, sorry for the late visit. Hope you are feeling better and that your cold is gone, or at least easing up. I've felt rotten since my flu jab and pneumonia jab on Wednesday. Such is life. I like the look of the butterflies, but am resisting any spending at the moment. I spend far too much without using it all …. so I need to use what I have before I buy more.
Have a lovely week, Heather x #35

Oh poor you, Helen... I do hope you are feeling better now from your cold. It’s the most miserable thing, isn’t it. Love the butterflies! Thank you for your visit, and sorry to be so long replying - a very busy week again and I’m all behind with computer things. The plumber didn’t come on Friday because his wife is just out of hospital so I’ve got to wait a bit. The roofer didn’t turn up either so I’ve got to chase him up. I am so glad you like my scarf! I never wear scarves inside my coat but always outside. I think I shall spend all my time fiddling with the embellishments because they are so tactile! We gave the kitties a run in the garden this afternoon and Ruby was as good as gold and didn’t try to get out once, so perhaps she can see that my hubby has really fixed the defences this time! We had a bit of a job getting her back in again but not as bad as before. She really is a little minx - you are right there!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Good morning, Helen. I hope my visit finds you feeling better. colds are such a pain in the patootie but really our body's way of telling us we need something... more crafting supplies, maybe? hehe. Virtual homemade chicken broth sent your way. Creative Blessings! Kelly #30

It's such a dangerous time of year. I'm thinking new releases rather than horrible diseases. I've just put in my pre-order with the Funkie Junkie Boutique ready for when I arrive in NYC in February. I like that my theatre jobs there seem to be well-timed for the releases but I don't think my bank account agrees!
