WOYWW 452

Another week has flown by and it is time to report for desk duty again - WOYWW (What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday)  with Julia.

Still managing to keep up with the Facebook group challenge with France Papillon... this week's theme is "Darkness has its own beauty"
My page has suddenly developed a mind of it's own I think... injecting some quirky fun in the form of a Stampotique figure..
there are a few days left to add layers yet...

my desk also sees a gift I was sent by my friend Lesley - a pack of wooden tulips from The Works, (I bought a few of these as gifts when several of us went on a workshop, but forgot to get a set for myself, and they happened to have them when Lesley was in her branch last week)

they were accompanied by a gorgeous tag and some fabulous die cut hearts which I can't wait to use on a project or several soon!

My Paperartsy new releases haven't arrived yet (although the first package will probably arrive today, it has been despatched...) so will have to be patient a bit longer!

Love your interpretation of the theme on France's challenge. Gorgeous colours making up 'Darkness'.
Nice gift - must look out for those tulips when I get home.

Hi Helen, if you're interested in a bargain (lol) and would like your own die to cut those hearts, I ordered mine in the sale on Crafter's Companion yesterday for £3.11. It is a Leonie Pujol design. Love your journal page, the dark splash of colour along the page with the white space is fabulous. I was half expecting to see those Carabelle skulls when I went to look at the larger photo for a close up. Have a good week. Sarah #12

Hi Helen, the inking on your journal reminds me of the readings on a heart monitor ... I became very familiar with them last week. I like the wooden tulips and those hearts are lovely too. Hope your package has arrived today. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #25

You are in the groove missus! Love that page and the addition of the figure is genius. I don’t understand how you will add layers without covering it all up, but your mixed media mind is far far more advanced, greater, bigger than mine! Have fun with it, I reckon if you’re keeping up with it, it must be very inspiring for you. Cert2inly great for those of us watching!

That page is absolutely gorgeous, Helen. I love the randomness of it, and the rich colours, and also the use of white space. Great stuff. I look forward to seeing how you use the wooden tulips. Thank you for your lovely comment, and for your good wishes re my operation. Still no date, but it shouldn't be long now.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Wowzah, your art journal page looks awesome! I would not add too much to it, it's gorgeous as it is! I also love the wooden tulips but prefer the real ones, that are in the flowershops all around this time of year (and soon, I hope, they will also bloom in parks and in 'greens' along the street) Thanks for your visit to my blog earlier, have a great week.
