WOYWW 381 - no new stuff.....

Hello again and happy Wednesday to you all... we re-group at Julia's for another desk hop at What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday...
So, nothing new on my desk then? let's look...

a part done journal page and a piece of stencilled painted background I was going to use for a birthday card.... I'm going to use it to collage on the journal now

But, you cry, you were going to Ally Pally last week, where is the new stuff, what happened?

ok, so I maybe misled you a little... had you popped by on Saturday night, this is what you would have seen this ......

not as much as normal... no stamps (there were new ones, but I didn't get them....)  but a "few" stencils.... just can't resist...
some glue (the green and white things) and a sponge roller...
and a few bits and pieces..

sorry to tease you!

and of course, I met up with the lovely Chris of Pearshapedchris fame...
it was great to see her again and have a lovely chat... I think I enabled her to buy a few bits at Paperartsy, so my work was done...

Have a great week, all.

Like the start to the journal page! You sound like me…I went out shopping today with a friend and ended coming home pretty much empty handed. Is it just me or does it seem like we are going back over the same old stuff and putting just a little twist in the stamp, or a bump in the bling, etc. Hope you have a great week. Vickie #4

Nice to see you and Chris on the photo and glad you had a good time at Ally Pally even if it was with moderate spending. You will see I have been nowhere but I still managed to buy a couple of PaperArtsy stamps. Not long now to Port Sunny (funny how we change the names of these places) - am hoping to be back on full throttle by then so see you there.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Hi Helen, I have that Tombow glue, I use it on U/M stamps- lots of American ladies use it, so thought it worth a try. Kyla said I was as bad as you for enabling, lol. Glad I'm in good company! Some cool looking stencils you got. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #18xxx

I'm jealous that you made it to Ally Pally! The only show I make it to is Port Sunlight in May, so if any WOYWWers go there, we will have to meet up. I'm waiting for some A4 stamps to arrive. thought they'd make art journal backgrounds a lot quicker to do. Sarah #31

Glad to see that you had a good time, got to meet with Chris and buy some new stash! I'd like to go at some point. Sadly, I keep timing by trip home at the wrong time so I'll just have to live through the people who do go.

Have a great week

Who couldn't resist a stencil?????
Survived the dentist although the numbness took ages to go and then I had to go sort an oil leak from car, really didn't need that when all I wanted to do was sleep!
Thanks for visiting me BJ #21

No new stuff! I didn't believe it for a moment, Helen :) The stencils are fab and I love the stamp that's to the left, I see that you've started experimenting with one of the stencils already - your journal page is great. Have a fabulously crafty week. Elizabeth x #45

Hi Helen,
The journal pages look great! Really nice backgrounds. I have a problem with backgrounds. When I do something I really like (not that often), I have a real struggle to then put the next layer on top and cover up something I already like! Crazy?
Love those stencils! You can't have too many of them. I'm after a few Stencil Girl ones, but they are scarce as hen's teeth here in Australia and I don't usually buy from o/s. Might have to.
Have a good week.
BTW, I am absolutely loving Wanderlust :)

I really like the text (and numbers) stencils! I, too, use 'failed' or not used parts of cards in my journals, we just cannot throw away 'stuff' don't we?! Thanks for visiting my blog earlier, happy (belated) woyww and a hug from Holland. Marit #20
