WOYWW 379 - what a great weekend I had

Happy Wednesday again... time for another WOYWW

several of you have seen the posts I wrote about the absolutely WONDERFUL  day at the Seth Apter workshop, run by Paperartsy on Saturday.. in case you missed them, start with this one   and then read this one     I know a few of you have done workshops or classes with Seth - what a lovely lovely person he is, and what an absolutely fabulous day it was.  If you haven't, I urge you to do so.

this is the finished canvas (finished at home -well, titivated, as it was finished in class, but you can always add a bit more penwork and mark making...)
different view of the floor to start with...
taken from the stool I sit at the computer on, pointing left.

a large pile of stamps (not all bought on Saturday)  sitting on the top of one of my Paperartsy Fresco boxes
I'm in the middle of a birthday card with the new designer range (Tracy Scott) released on Saturday by Paperartsy.
this is the pile of stuff I did buy though (as shown in the first post I linked to)

and I know several of you have seen this already, so apologies for repeating myself.

when I was painting the circles in the birthday card I used the excess paint on the start of a mop up journal page... looking forward to
 "Seth-yfying" this soon!

Morning Helen. You are certainly having a lot of fun there in your space.
Thanks so much for your visit and kind words. Yes, 50 of his 70 years was spent in ill health!
Take care. God bless.

Isn't he lovely. There is no other way to describe the man except that he is also a very talented teacher. So glad you got the experience. Not sure if I can go on Sunday (health problems) but we will see.
Love the new stamps by Tracy and am envious of you having them to play with, must remedy that quickly. I hope we get to see the birthday card in all its glory - now I must get off and read your account of the Seth Apter class.
Hugs, Neet 10 xx

Happy WOYWW and congrats again on the No.1 spot (just seen that your post was published at midnight, so that is how you get so high on the list!). I will come back and read your linked posts later. I have watched some of the Periscopes from Seth's workshops, and really want to be able to attend one in the future. I only first heard of his name this year (yes, I am new to mixed media!) and already in love with him. Ali x #19

I don't think I've ever read such continual positive comments; what a great workshop it must have been. As you know I love the canvas, the stencils are great, really must get into them! I love that your nearest surfaces are piled with new stuff. I think I need a spree to kick me into doing something!

Awwww - always a visual treat to come and see what's going on with your blog.

You continuously seem to have new stash, I wonder where you put it all, and do you still use all your old stash too? I'm half expecting to hear a news report saying that the walls of a certain someone's house have bulged out and it's collapsed!!

That's it. I'm officially jealous. I'm going to have to explore Seth's stamps a little more. Love your workspace. Sarah #32

Good question you asked about the crayons, Helen. I removed the paper because I am such a klutz, I was afraid I would burn the house down if the paper around the crayon caught fire. I also had planned to run some through a low melt heat gun, but ran out of time. Another project I didn't have time for was shaving some. I had planned to use a pencil sharpener to create the shavings. Sadly, those projects will have to wait for another time, since this was a very time consuming post. But I appreciate the question/comment, anyway.

Hi Helen, happy belated WOYWW. I loved all the photos from the workshop, especially the group one ... Seth looks in his element surround by all you lovely ladies :) It looked like a heap of fun and the end result is fabulous! Amazing that you went from that brownish colour to what you ended up with. Not a bit surprised you had a splurge - who could resist those stamps. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #41
