WOYWW 373 - journal pages

Yet another week goes by and I haven't blogged since last Wednesday's post - so it's time to link up again with Julia's Stamping-Ground for the weekly desk-hop.

The new stamps I was waiting for last week, duly arrived but not till Friday I think it was..

I also did a bit more to the journal pages the stamps are resting on,

a bit of texture paste and some butterflies, another tree... still not sure if I'm done with it..

and finally, another page, the background is pinky purple brush wipings from the top journal page, covered in white crackle paste, and marked with a teflon comb (think it's designed for gelli plate marking) before the paste dried (and didn't crackle properly) stamps are by Seth Apter (circles) and Paperartsy and the image is one that my friend Lin sent me recently.  some lace from my stash and a piece of wide organza ribbon beneath the image, (painted with Fresco paint but most of it wiped off, just to give it a bit of colour to show up, although in the photo you it doesn't very well!)

Off to link up (well I'm scheduling this as normal but will link up in the morning) with Julia.

Adore that last page - it is different somehow. The image is perfect for that background. Love your other pages too, one can always find something else to do on a page, that is what I like about Journalling.
Love the new stamps but I have something similar from Dina in a stencil so will leave that little purchase I think.
Am off to a Seth Apter workshop soon, love that man.
Hugs, Neet xx 5

Fab new stamps and pages. See you've inspired me to be brave I've bought some Whipped Spackle. I need it for one of my colouring classes (to create waves) but I reckon I will use it on backgrounds as well. Take care Zo xx 27

Happy WOYWW and congrats on the No.1 spot. I love coming to your blog, as I can steal inspiration and ideas for my mixed media. I love those new stamps. I saw them online whilst doing some shopping this week, but really trying to avoid buying a lot of stamps, as I do not have the cashflow and want to combine my digital crafting as much as possible. It would be very easy to bankrupt myself! Lovely pages. I am going to get my ribbon box out now and incorporate that into something this week. I had not heard of Seth Apter until this week, and now keep seeing him mentioned everywhere. Admired some of his products - and think I may be forced to purchase some soon. Have a great week. Hi Helen,I'm totally disorganised this morning. I was convinced it was Tuesday! Love that Paper Artsy stamp, I can see so many uses for the divided circle. I may just have to get that one. Love what you are doing in Art Journals, they are amazing. Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #24 xxx

Nice pages, I really enjoy the art that you make from leftovers and brush cleaning, it's very clever. Love that you've got new stamps but genuinely cannot see a use for them....so, look forward to you demonstrating why I need them!!

Love your lacey page. Tests at doctors were OK, took son to drive me home and he helped me cope with the painful needles too. Finished medication now awaiting the flood again! Thanks for visiting and putting a spark into my day BJ#34
